[quote=performingmonk]I thought I was going mental when I saw the word 'w**ker' on the sign. Is it a milder word in Australia or what? By the way, I'm totally sick of Stingray saying 'hufter' and 'spiggin'. Apparently he can't be in an episode without saying it, it's in his contract...[/QUOTE

Don't know who told you that but it isn't true. In real life Scott is the type of character who would swear a lot. Obviously they can't have him using real swear words all the time, so the writers had to create this special dialogue for him.
However, swearing on Neighbours is nothing new. Stuart's said "Bugger" a few times as has Darren Strark. It's not really considered a swear word in Australia.
Lou said bollocks in 2001, but the BBC cut that scene.
We've heard loads of swear words over the years including the "F" word. At the school formal in 2003, one of the source tracks was "Put Em Up" by the 1200 Techniques. Half way through the track, they use the "F" word. Normally they use the beginning and end welded together. However, on this occasion they didn't and it ended up on air. It even got past the BBC too. They didn't get a single complaint either.
