Jonny, as always, is playing the game and playing to win - continuously fooling the big audiences pulled in by the Channel 4 shows. For the true two-faced Jonny you need to watch plenty of E4 and what you get is something very different !

Jonny offering to let Tim make the phone call was a complete sham totally in line with his performance throughout BB3. The aspiring actor should go far in his new career - as he put on a spectacular performance on last night's live task show.

Johnny stating that dim Tim was more deserving of the phone call prize was counting the votes !( When has Jonny shown any concern for Tims feelings ?).
But Jonny knew the viewers at home would just love it ! Always conscious of his image Jonny knew that by making such a move he would appear to be such a selfless gentleman and get him one step nearer to that grand prize and all the other rewards that follow on ! Jonny the T.V presenter - yuk ! !

Alex, who does genuinely care about Tim and who can see right through Jonny, could not bring himself to advise his mate Tim to make the call !

and if johnny had said that he wanted to take the call? you'd have been calling him selfish!

i'm not a johnny fan...but what exactly would you have had him done? how could he have behaved in order to not set off your silly rambling?

I think Jonny shouldn't have been so enthusiastic to speak.
'I'll go first.' I thought this was really suspicious.
Maybe i'm wrong and he does care how Tim feels and just talks about him behind his back out of genuine adoration for the ginger bloke.

Jonny is playing politician, by encouraging Tim to take the call he hoped it would make himself look the all caring, compassionate one, the cheeky chappie with a heart of gold.
I wanted Jonny to win, but he is not as genuine as I first thought.

I think you may be wrong here, Id have done the same thing but for different reasons.

No one wanted to take that call, they all knew it would be a harrowing experience. Even Jade, who is often depicted as thick, said she didnt want it. I think Jonny was looking for a way out of accepting that call, and who can blame him. They all knew the were live to the nation, which one of us would have wanted to turn into the blubbering wreck that was Tim ? not me thats for sure.

I do think Jonny had alterior motives for not taking the call, but then, so did all the others.

If you actually think Jonny did something wrong, please inform us as to what he should have done.

Nice.

I also thought Jonny was too quick to say " I'll go first"
so that he got his " caring " side shown first before anyone else could get a word in.... Hence his being the " golden boy" again.
Alex can see what he is up to, why he didn't say much, if you like Alex or not , he is very good at judging people's characters.
Even Adele cos he knew what she was like and was spot on when he made an observation about her being booed.
BUT......... saying all that...... I'm glad Tim got the call....... he may not be such a misery this week now. He was getting on my nerves yesterday and i even switched off
By the way.... Alex has been moody last few days cos of his toothache and can't bame him... I get moody with toothache too

Jonny's on air persona he's generated is one of a family man. He endlessly rants about worrying about them. Here he is, given a chance for a chat and he doesn't want it.

Clearly he sees it as a poisoned chalice - He feels taking the call will be negative to his chance of winning. It just makes him seem a little inconsistant thats all. The way he goes on his family are all that matter to him....Not so...What matters to him is £70000 and a slot on a daytime TV show.

Last night, I kept expecting Jonny to say "Ah divvent want me mam to have to go aall the way across the livin rrom to pick up the phone like. It's a long way for me mam to go an aall."

****.

Jonny has a way of "being nice" that comes across as overbearing and sickly.

And pouting Poppy's contribution to last nights task was what exactly?

Alex asked to be left out of it.

I personally could live a good few weeks without a phone call from Mummy and Daddy - like any grown-up could and like Alex obviously could.

Face it, Alex was the only one who came out of last nights task badly and no number of made up excuses can change that now.

How is that, exactly?

I thought Jonny came out of it worse, for reasons previously stated and not worth repeating here.

Anyway - Jonny vs Alex threads are getting tiresome but let me just add that I prefer adults with wit and intelligence - which is why I detest Jonny.

Personally I prefer Adutls with a personality, something that is sadly lacking in Tin & Alex. (My perception).

Alex was the only housemate who offered Tim genuine concern, realising that taking the call could have a detrimental effect if his original concerns for his girlfriend proved true.

It was all very well Jonny repeatedly “insisting..” that he take the call.. but he understood more than anyone that the show was “live” and that every utterance would come under greater scrutiny than normal… good ‘editing’ could not save him on this occasion and he wanted to come over as ‘caring’ .. far better than risking your popularity by actually taking the phone-call [“he knew I was more deserving of the call than him, .. the nicotine stained sunken faced weasel, .. I’ll make sure I vote him out this week, golly gosh I will”]

Like everything .. Jonny calculates and hedges his bets as best he can.

I'm not saying I'm a Jonny fan or anything, I can see he's a wannabe, but the guy gets slated no matter what he does by some people.
Alex was also 'playing to the cameras' when he declined the call, and Tim even admitted he didn't want the call because of what people outside might think of him.
Jade didn't want to be seen as selfish, and Kate had an easy way out because she got a message last week.
Get real everyone, they ALL want to win, and they are ALL conscious of public opinion, some are just more obvious than others.

Rant over !

Oh my God, how could he? Heaven forbid he spends four months trying to get into the house, only to be evicted for playing the game. The truth is, if we were in the house, we'd be exactly the same. If I knew millions were watching, why not? It's a game!!!!
