Tonight's Emmerdale - 25/11/05
Didn't see a thread for this, and I just wanted to say how brilliant i've found James Hooton (Sam Dingle) over the past few days... tonight's has been excellent... especially with the scene showing Zak crying over the table. About time The Dingles were given something emotional to do, as all involved can do it brilliantly.

I know there's been a bit of build up over the past few weeks, but I just don't find the Ivan thing all that believeable... seems very sort of tacked on... if you know what I mean... Considering it's the first time he's felt this way about another fella.. surely he wouldn't be so jovial about it... would he?!?

Good, quiet sort of episode tonight.
I'm loving Sandy in the pub with Viv and Betty, and Edna's disgust The Louise/Diane scenes were great, they have a good little partnership going. I like Kayleigh a lot too, much better than Victoria. Hope she sticks around. Sam was good yes, but I prefer Alice by a mile (character and acting wise) so I sort of missed her tonight. |

I don't think there is anything wrong with James' acting but Sam is just one of those characters I cannot abide by

Not saying he's a bad actor... just that the writing of the story doesn't seem right for me for some reason... |

Is it Ivan's first time fancying a fella? I thought he was joking - "grow up" - as if Paul was an idiot to believe him. Love Toni too, well sexy. Kinda sassy girl I'd go for.

I though Zak leaning on the table and crying when Sam told him the news was completely heartwrenching. I must be a softy!!

The scripts that were found a few weeks ago that mentioned cancer and the Dingles in Spain also mentioned a gay storyline, so everyone just assumed some character was gonna be gay, but he's clearly not, he's bi-sexual. I loved tonights little exchanges between Ivan and Paul! If this is a sign of what's to come then they clearly aren't gonna make it a serious 'Todd and Karl' from Corrie storyline, but more something suited to Sean from Corrie. More lighthearted, which the writers probably think is safer cos no one will complain then, like no one complains about any men Sean ever has an interest in cos he's there for comedy. Serious gay storylines seem to offend sensitive viewers! |

Why can't we have two straight acting men kiss for once? Do they not exist in soapland

Still no Rev Updyke.
Ashtray's dad is a an excellent character and Freddie Jones has always been a very good character actor.I like both Paul and Ivan BUT. If I was looking for a relationship, rather than a very casual thing, I would not consider a bi-sexual woman, so why would Paul be that keen in a bi- sexual man. So why was Sam Dingle hiding under the table. When the Doc first started he said he would only be having one surgery a week in the village. He now seems to spend all his time in the village. Good job I am not one of his Hotten patients

QUOTE] I'm sorry, I don't understand. Why would you not consider a bi-sexual woman? I mean, if you'd already fallen for someone then found out they were bi, would you dump them? I'm not having a go, I just didn't understand the comment. And I don't think he is that keen, now he knows, to be honest! |
