Anyone else returning to EE?
I love people returning. Now we have Phil, Grant and Peggy. Not too happy about that, but never mind...
Also heard rumours (in the past) that turned out not to be true, like Dan coming back... What about Michelle? IS she coming back? And Nick Cotton? And Belinda??? Anyone know any more, or other old favourites coming back?? |

The Mirror says yesterday (Fri) that Kathy Beale is being killed off. So i would guess she is coming back from Africa...In a wodden box!

Apparently they were going to recast Michelle, but that is an old rumour that never did quite pan out.

If they kill off Kathy, they're making a BIG mistake. Gillian Taylforth has never completely ruled out a return and we all know that Footballer's Wives is going to be axed sometime in the next few years...

I think it would be interesting to see Nick Cotton return as a genuinely reformed character.

if she really wants her character not to be killed off, she could make a breif apperance, at least show the producers she might return for a longer stint

Killing Kathy Beale will be stupid although I imagine what they will do is then have a big custody battle with Phil and her new partner over Ben. Unless she returns with the kids and Phil kills her in a Tiffany/Grant Style!
It was always reported that GHillian would return I suspect she'll do one more Footballers Wives and then go back to the Square so why kill her off?!? |

I think she likes having it as a safetly net, just incase her career goes tits up, the BBC probaly asked her to come back recently, and she said she was to busy, so they are killing her off.

More than likely I mean they dont like people saying No to them to often - although it took 14 years of Anita Dobson saying No No and No before they finally killed Angie off - though i cant help thinking Den's demise would have been much better had Angie returned with Sharon that night but then i'm always a fan of the old skool eastenders!
I think Gillian only said no because by then she had signed up to another series at least of Footballers Wives as this all came about near the end of the last one so she had already filmed that and agreed to a new one. Would be a terrible shame to see Kathy Beale die though I mean she never had it easy so she might have a weak heart! |

Well this is the thing isnt it, apparently Kathy has had another child with her new boyfriend so he would have custody of that but Ben must be 7 or 8 by now surely even older so it might be time a new mitchell appeared....one they can train up
As surely he would get custody? But maybe not? Also it might give Ian something else to moan about than whether he wants to get Wellard sent down |

it would be better for ben to stay with people he knows rather than the michells.
the michells would be happy if they got ben but i dont think ben would, especially if ian fills him in. |

Well exactly there is another good point another battle between Ian and Phil and will Ian turn Ben against him as I'm sure Ian would love to take Ben off Phil's hands which considering Phils record and recent imprisonment wouldnt go down to well with the social services!
Cue Ian and another bog wash

And didnt alos Anita Dobseon want to return for a short time, but they wanted full time, and killed her off?
Which was too bad, since she was one of the most popular characters ever? So hopefully they dont do the same thing with Kathy. She has a lot to come back for... |

Kathy has since married in South Africa, so her husband would undoubtedly have custody of Ben.
If they don't have a good enough reason, then there's no point in killing her off. With Angie, however, she was a legendary character and more or less part of the show. Despite her departure, she was always known to the public (even to those born after her exit and to the non-viewers), and maybe they thought it was time to end an era and 'settle' the character once and for all. I can bet that the writers could kick thereselves for that decision when Den returned. I think it would've been fantastic for Angie to come back at Den's second death (I'm sure that Anita Dobson could be persuaded under those circumstances by EastEnders and Leslie Grantham). Leon. |
