i got my K700i unlocked about a week ago (previously on T-Mobile) and i cannot delete the T-Mobile animations, sounds and themes. the phone tells me they're protected files. can i delete them without flashing the phone? and if i do need to flash it, can it be done with a bluetooth dongle?

you could flash the phone with a generic software veriosn, you would need a cable and a program like davinci to do this.
Alternatively, I don't know if this would work on the k700i as I haven't tried it but on my old moto v-series I could get rid of the locked files by writing over them with blank files. For example
I have a file on the phone called a.jpg I want to get rid of but its protected
I create a blank text file on my computer and rename it a.jpg (remember to have file extensions turned on or it will become a.jpg.txt)
I copy this blank file to th ephone
the blank file overwrites the animation and it no longer appears in the file menus.
