I wholeheartedly agree with you, TeresaAL - I would LOVE Anton to get to the final - but Patsy's getting painful for me to watch and I'd like Anton to get there on a high - not dragging Patsy behind him!! Having said that, if Bill goes tonight, I'll be delighted for the wonderful Du Beke to be in for yet another week. DIDN'T HE LOOK WONDERFUL IN THAT PINK SHIRT???!!!!

omduk, you are right too! Patsy possibly does not have the same dance ability as Jill Halfpenny and therefore we should not compare their reactions to crises. I don't mean to be harsh, I like her.
PLease god let Patsy and Anton stay.

Exactly!!

Oh I'm so glad other people are saying what I thought too!

Thank God it's not just me then.. I was watching with my 8yr old daughter and we both noticed the chasm between Ian and Zoe but yet again it wasn't commented on by the Judges! Yes it was a good complicated routine but it was far from perfect and I kept giggling at Ian.. what the hell was he doing with his mouth?

James last week in the latin dance was worse than Patsy this week, and his trousers weren't about to come off, he was just not very good! and
he is still in, if Patsy and Anton did a Ballroom, they would not be at the bottom. I think.

Regardless of who was best, I thoroughly enjoyed the show, particularly because the dances were so different. I loved the group tango. One of the highlights for me is always the dresses... is it me or do they get better every week?

The judges have it in their heads that Zoe & Ian are the best. What Anton said on ITT this week was very apt. Are they the best dancers or do they just look like the best dancers?

nickything, lol. I know what you mean, he is sweet, I like James. But I can't get over this desire to see Anton do well. I do admit it may cloud my judgement a bit.

They look elegant together, but technically they aren't the best, and they aren't the most passionate either, Colin gets the tech vote and Darren the gusto for me.

I absolutely love the dresses tonight too! The dresses are gorgeous

Maybe Ian has cooties, and Zoe doesn't want to catch them.

Or maybe they don't work on their gapping because nobody picks them up on it!

That makes me very angry.

Completely agree with you Tasi, those dresses are a work of art (if only I was slim enough.... )
Special mention for Camilla though, she looked so elegant.
The Argentinian Tango was superb, it really seems as though they get into it more, I suppose it's because the pressure is off to some extent and they relax into it.
Probably one of my favourite Saturdays

From the very start, the judges kept on about how lovely Zoe and Ian LOOK together, but they're allowing that to cloud their judgement. They are NOT the best dancers. Colin and Darren are better than Zoe and I hope that both these guys are in the FINAL. The standard of the males this year has been brilliant and one of them deserves to win - not Zoe!!

I think they have to be careful. Ian knows there is a chasam between them and he knows there shouldn't be. He also knows that they are coming top without bothering about it so, I don't blame him, stick with what works. What may happen is the overmarking lead to public revolt. That would be a pity but with such publically loved characters left as Darren and James, he has to be careful as time goes on.

Teresa, I like Anton in that he makes me laugh ( in a good way lol) I just can't get over how leaden Patsy looks sometimes

Yeh, maybe Ian has bad breath or something lol

yes agree the judges have it in their heads Zoe is best and think that is BBC lead yet another Beeb employee winning it ????

As for the pink shirt of Anton wish the pros would not wear these colourful shirts they DONT do it in proper competitions and it looks so girly these bright colours

Len commented on it on ITT this week.. I would have thought he would have been looking out for it tonight, it's not like it only happened once or briefly

Glad you liked my joke. I know what you mean about basic errors. Even I could notice faults. It's funny how, as a non dancer, i get a lot of my technical dance knowledge from the judges when they appear on ITT, but they themselves decide not to spot them on Saturday night.

Even Zoe has complained to Ian about their gap.

Darren so deserves to win and I have only decided that this week he works so hard at every style - reallygeat advertisement for dancing - colin is tech good and as is Zoe (except for the body contact) but Darren just give something more
TeresaAL
26-11-2005
nickything, I agree. Patsy is not the most likeable celebrity wannabe dancer by a long shot. But that Pink shirt and I love love love watching him dance.

bendymixer, I have nexer seen a proper dance contest, but I like the way they spice it up for tele.

try not to worry about your favourites everyone - remember that voting has been going all week and although there is a flurry tonight, will the votes amassed in the space of 2 hours really beat the votes collected all week?

Both Bill/Karen and Patsy/Anton are really popular from what I can gather, so try not to panic based on tonight's show.

As someone said earlier, I'm a little worried about Colin (not listening ot my own advice i know!), everytime I see him onscreen doing something other than dancing, he seems to come across badly.

But, again, I don't want to make too much of it. As a sportsman, he may well react much better to criticism than praise - I can easily see it spurring him on

So who do we think for bottom two? i reckon Patsy/Anton ( sorry Teresa) and Bill and Karen with Patsy and Anton to go
