Soap line-ups
Getting a bit tired with the soap line-up, really...
Can anyone suggest a good line up for the soaps? ITV should take a leaf out of the BBC's book. Put both ITV soaps back to 4 nights and keep them there! IMO they should revert back to 2002. Corrie on as now but without the double episode. EE as now. Dunno bout Emmerdale.

If anything EE should go to twice a week Tue/Thurs and Corrie should get rid of the extra Mon episode
Apart from that I am happy as they are |

So you would reduce EE to 2 nights, keep Corrie at 4 and Emmerdale at 6?

They should reduce Corrie to 3 nights a week - Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm.
Emmerdale should also be reduced to 3 nights - maybe Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday - they could show the Sunday episode at 7.30pm before Heartbeat/The Royal, that would please a few here having it a bit later, its better than 6.50pm! That way ITV would limit itsself to 1 episode of a soap per night Sunday-Friday. The Bill should cut back to 1 episode a week (1 hour long) on Thursday. Hollyoaks should cut back to 3 episodes a week - Mon, Wed, Thurs at 6.30pm. Holby and the aussie soaps can stay as they are. |

Well your idea might work even better with a slight tweak, outlined below. Emmerdale - Sunday Tuesday Thursday 7.30 Corrie - Monday Wednesday Friday 7.30 That way, 7pm is free all week. Of course they could use that but at 7pm, freeing up 7.30pm all week too.

Emmerdale: 5 nights (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri)
Corrie: 3 nights - one ep per night (Mon, Wed, Fri) EastEnders: 4 nights (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri) That would suit me just fine, I've never liked Sunday episodes. |

I'm PRAYING for the day ITV see sense and get rid of the 6th Emmerdale episode. I mean they obviously care about the Sunday episode so much that they shunt it back for a 10-minute claymation series
Corrie can also ditch the second Monday episode. |
