Awww...
We'll miss them (but probably not their dancing)

Bill and Karen

Bill's performance last night was by a long distance his best, and considerably better than James' for the first time. It is a sad thing when a celebrity manages to stay in because someone at home thinks he or she is 'cute/cooks well/ hurdles in the olympics/gets seen on TV/wins cricket matches/whatever else'. If you vote on those criteria, in what is after all a dancing contest, perhaps you should ask yourself if you should be voting at all?

PLEASE VOTE FOR THE COUPLE GIVING THE BEST PERFORMANCE.

Thanks Becks for a lovely picture... It sums up the fun that they bought to the show. Seriously, I don't think either Bill or Karen will be upset at leaving. Bill seemed a bit guilty last week that Will left at, what he considered to be, his expense. Bill's an intelligent and truly gentlemanly gentleman. I think it's done us all good to see a person of his stauture get so into his dancing. Someone on another thread posted about the respect and love that Karen & he showed for each other. This has made me smile for the entire series. They are both winners whichever way you look at it.

And, don't forget, someone has to leave every week. It won't last forever and the winner will only have won a reality TV dance show - life does go on. It has just been made nicer each week by this lovely entertainment.

There now, feeling kinda gooey meself.

Not being biased no really , I do try and look at the dancing objectively, and Patsy turned in a shocker of a performance. It was a shocker of a routine come to that. Half of it looked like Woodstock 1968. and unlike any cha cha cha I've seen. At one point she was just walking around the floor. I've been seriously impressed with her in the past, (rumba, yes! tango, yes, yes! foxtrot, yes!) but it now seems her nerves are destroyed. I'm VERY sorry for her. But if she pulls off a Great Escape again next Sat ahead of Darren or James, then it will be a farce. No, Bill should not have gone out. We've been deprived of him for another week and been cheated of seeing him samba. He'd have finished on a real high! I'm VERY annoyed.

Bill and Karen's departure has been long overdue. I couldn't believe he obtained more votes than Will last week and if he hadn't gone on Saturday I would have been even more outraged (yes, I did vote on Saturday 19th).

I agree Bill paid some kind comments to Karen , but that is no more than should be expected. However, from the beginning of the competition, I have felt Karen's choreography could not hold a candle to the majority of the other professionals on SCD.

There was no upset for me this week, the correct couple were voted out.

I agree with you 100 per cent Patsy and Anton should have gone
BILL AND KARREN SHOULD HAVE STAYED

I agree that Patsy should have gone out. I didnt really see any cha cha cha steps in that dance - it looked almost more Jive-ish to me!

I do think that Bill was the next weekest this week though.

I hope that the final three come down to Lilia and Darren, Zoe and Ian, and Colin and Erin.

I'd like Darren and Lilia to win but could accept any of these three couples winning it!

YES, away from the shock of Bill and Karen going, Anton and Patsy are the weakest couple left.

If the worst people went everyweek there would be no point at all in a viewers vote I suppose. They have been saved from being bottom and now it was Patsy and Antons turn. James too has also been saved from the bottom as was Fiona. The worst couple on the night rarely are the ones to go. I guess we all have to come to terms with that.
Chin up Bill fans, he'll still be on morning tv.

Then I hope they give Karen a job too

Good point TeresaAL; what do others feel about Bill's skills on breakfast news? He certainly isn't my favourite male presenter.

Well when you have a loveable, gentleman-like bundle of fun like Bill.... of course he's going to brighten up my mornings... now I can just hope Karen is invited back on multiple occasions so they can dance the show out each day

Don't watch breakfast much myself but when I do the only one I can't stand is "Frosty Wooden Legs". hehe lol.
Thats what Anton called Natasha in series 1. Not wanting to affend anyone, just thought it was funny.

Miss K is certainly frosty, I simply can't understand the big love thing the BBC has for her. I haven't encountered one poster on this forum who likes her.

Caramel... I'd like to point you in the direction of MANY posters who like Natasha.... ME INCLUDED! Try reading the Brendan-Natasha-Camilla thread... look back at the hundreds of posts and threads praising the lovely and talented Natasha. I think somehow you must have missed reading all of these threads. Maybe your computer shows up different posts to everyone else?!?

I like Natasha, too! I voted for her like crazy in series 1. I'd forgotten Anton's nickname for her - Frosty Woodenlegs - makes me giggle! Plus there was a lot of support for the idea of her coming back as a permanent presenter on SCD on the various Bruce threads. Of course, there were a lot of people against, too...

I think that this series has seen a number of contestants go out on a good dance. It's almost as though the audience was waiting for them to fulfil their potential, then say goodnight. The same thing happened to Fiona and Dennis. Everyone knows that I wasn't really a Bill supporter, and of course I'm delighted that my favourite couple still remaining avoided eviction, but I do understand how Bill fans are feeling. I felt rotten last week when Will and Hanna went. At least you guys have got the support of one another, so concentrate on the good and try to forget the bad.

And please try to remember, it's not Patsy or Anton's fault that the audience voted for them. I think us Anton fans got a nasty shock last week, and that swelled the vote this week. I voted exactly the same number of times that I always do, but i get the feeling that lots of people voted a lot for Patsy and Anton this week. Please don't blame them for something we did.

You have to be kidding me Bill & karen should have gone out last week so I'm glad they went out this week anyone else and it would of been a travesty.

But on the subject of Karen I really hope she is back next year I thought she was a great dancer and I have enjoyed watching her, just a pity she was lumped with that twit from the news.

Sorry, I forgot which forum I was on for the moment, if you visit the BBC forums, you will find she doesn't have many friends there.

I admit her dancing improved, and to win series one was an achievement. However, to break up a long term relationship in the way she did was disgraceful.

She comes across as having a very shallow personality, is a terrible presenter and as for her newsreading skills; she is just another Miss Autocue who got lucky. Is she worth £250k of licence payers money, I don't think so.

You said it Caramel - 100% behind you.
Kraplinsky is an automation when she's reading the news. She's amateurish, wooden, bland and overdone.
