Mobile On The Blink
My Nokia 3210 is playing up recently - it doesn't do the battery low warning beeps, even though warning tones are on in the tones menu. All other sounds are fine though. I've had it for nearly three years now, could it just be because it's getting on a bit or is this fixable?
Any ideas appreciated, because I'm getting a bit miffed at constantly finding my battery's just about to die when I need to make a call

Does the battery meter display just one block before it cuts out? If so, it's probably your battery dying of old age. Maybe the battery doesn't have enough power to emit the warning tone before it runs out. Try replacing the battery, or try using a friends just to make sure that is the problem.

Yeah, it usually dies on me with one block left. I thought it may be the battery about to kick the bucket altogether, although it seems a bit soon to me. I think I may just buy a whole new phone and stick my current SIM in it, probably not much more expensive than a new battery

It does sound like the battery & they arent that expensive really £17 from here; Elite Electronics I have used them & can recommend them. Or Batteries Worldwide are cheap but I have never used them. They have the battery you need for £9 but its out of stock.
