Although we're still waiting for the BBC to reply as to whether we can start a Fan Club, I thought I would try and get some serious responses to see who's interested.

We know that the BBC read these forums and I thought that if enough people said they would be interested, it might encourage them to give permission.

Ideas so far include newsletters, badges and meetings. If you have any more thoughts, let us know.

Yes, I would. Although some people might think I'm just watching SCD cos of James Martin, I have been a fan of the programme since the very beginning.

It's all very up in the air at the moment, so it could be either. I suppose it depends on which most people would prefer.

hurrah! i think that this is a brilliant idea! i would join no problem...and i think that it may be a good idea to start off as an online club and then see how things go from there..but i may be wrong...so try a postal first....or not..oh dear, i am sooooooo excited at the thought i am all giddy.......wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! it's just like doing a viennese waltz......with little darren b....and getting lessons from lilia.....THAT'S how good an idea this is......

If we can pursuade the BBC to make one! We wouldn't want to do anything illegal.

Yes I would be up for it. Most of my friends are not into SCD so this forum is like heaven to me, and totally addictive. A fan club would be excellent.

It should include (in either format) more infor on dances & how to do basic steps etc & of course DVDs of everything SCD related!!

I think the dancing has to be central to the Fan Club. After all, that's what the show's about.

Count me in, please! I used to think the old "Come Dancing" was one of the worst programs on TV, but I find that I can't get by now without my fix of SCD/ITT & spend my Sundays counting down the hours till we see Claudia again, only to then get impatient for Saturday night coming around again.

God knows how I'm going to get on after the X-mas special, waiting for Series 4 to start.

Well, that's the point of the Fan Club - to bridge that gap between series.
