As I said previously, Jonny is entirely selfless and so sweet. He has a big heart and he needs a hug too from time to time. I wish I could comfort him. He is lovely. Jonny or Kate to win !!!

In the end psychology is just commonsense or opinion wrapped up in scientific terminology. If you put all the bb 'experts' in a room together they would probably come up with just as diversed a collection of opinions as is on this forum. The most interesting thing for me was the way he dangled the carrot of a possib;e 'genuine' love fest between Alex and Kate if they are allowed to be together in the final week. This seemed a grossly underhand means of influencing the public vote and contradicted previous evidence which showed most hm's (including Alex) preferring that PJ stayed in the house. I don't know about anybody else but I getting really annoyed at the cynical way that bb is trying to manipulate the final vote.

If Alex is so hot then why was he rejected by ALL the women in the house except the alleged bisexual-virgin? LOL. Kate is someone who is out of his league and he knows it. Adele is the safe option.

The psychologist tonight confirmed what I've always suspected- and said on this forum in the 'anti kate threads' from the beginning. Kate is the only woman in BB house that Alex is interested in.. I've said before on different threads, it was Kate who rejected Alex and that is the REAL reason he turned on her!

I say 'interested' because I don't believe he fancies her. I believe he sees Kate as - for want of a better description, 'arm candy' it's all to do with Alex's ego.
To me, the only time Alex looks like he's enjoying himself is when he's interacting with Kate - even joining in the silly games (which is not his style, really) that Kate and other hm's play is a means of getting closer to Kate. I think he's jealous of the friendship Kate has with any of the other male hm's.

If it happens that Alex and Kate are the in the final week together, I believe they'll get on really well because he'll have her undivided attention - which I believe is what he's wanted all along. I really don't think Kate fancies Alex either, if she's learned anything from her previous experience with him, she shoud know it's best - for her own sake, not to upset him in any way because, bascially, I don't think Kate is astute enough to deal with men like Alex.

You could twist the whole "fear of rejection" thing round to why Spencer and Kate never got closer than they did. Spencer was very guarded, but he dropped that guard one night (after a few drinks) and the way he looked at Kate you could see he fancied her (the night sandy announced he was leaving). He's admitted he did in magazine interviews, and has said he wouldn't rule out a relationship. Again, I still find it interesting that this night was never shown - they snogged for petes sake!

I believe Kate when she says she could never fancy someone like Alex, even though she thinks he's good looking. Flirt with each other a bit - maybe, but for Kate there were far stronger feelings towards Spencer. Perhaps not at first, but by the end you could see that. The night Spencer got evicted Kate also let her guard down when asked about a relationship with him... Rather than her usual answer of "I've just broken up with a boyfriend and I'm not sure I want another right now" it was "I don't think he fancied me, but we'll see each other again, and if it's as something more than friends then... Oh I don't like talking about it with the cameras"

Plus, she laughed every time Spencer burped and farted in her face towards the end - if that ain't a girl with a bad case of it, I don't know what is.

If I remember correctly, when Kate said if she could get naked with one guy in there, it would be Alex, Spencer was still very very quiet and had barely said a word to anyone. As soon as he came out of his shell, she had more time for him, and that was that.

I think it's just channel 4 trying to create something interesting for the last two weeks. When Kate does come out and Davina asks her "Alex or Spencer" - she'll probably laugh. We'll see though - maybe they're right.

While the psychologists are entitled to thier opinion, I don't like the way that their comments are presented as fact - as if their observations are irrefutable and are no doubt intended to provide a frame or context with which to view the housemates.

Although I agree with some if not most their comments I'm sure an equally convincing case could be made for the oppositee opinion with a little bit of clever editing.

Anyone who saw Jonny's late night comforting of Kate on the infamous night of Jade's stripping would seriously question Jonny's suitability for comforting and could build a case for being self-obsessed. In short Kate was looking for a shoulder to cry on and then Jonny became fixated on Kate saying Alex "Tolerates" him, ranting on for hours going around in circles despite Kate's assurances that he was taking it out of context.

Also previously on the same night Alex had Kate had a looooong discussion on Alex's reasons for not liking her initially and Kate saying she only flirted with and fancied Spencer and talked at length how she hates the way that anytime she interacts with men she's percieved as flirting whereas Alison can throw Alex onto a bed and attempt to shove her tongue down his throat without being called a flirt.

Neither scene was shown on C4 (no doubt due to copious amounts of Jade bashing) and along with many other scenes I could mention go against C4's attempts to make Alex and Kate into a couple or Jonny into a happy chappy.

To be fair I suspect Jonny's rant wasn't shown purely because it would have been appalling television! There was no way to indicate it's awfulness without resorting to the usual montage of calendar pages flying across the screen or a clock whizzing around!

The Alex/Kate chat, however, was very interesting not just because it would have given the C4 viewers a better insight into their personalities and those of the other HMs but also because it was IMHO a valid comment on society's attitudes generally. I wish there'd been a lot more of this sort of thing shown and much less footage of horsing around.

I watched that bit with interest..in fact i find it extremely interesting to watch the affect that Alex's 'mentors' have on him...I have to admit that in the past I've thought that Alex supressed an awful lot of his 'desire to have fun' because of his upbringing... but having heard him tell Tim of his father's advice to' go in there and have fun' I wonder why he has chosen 'allies' who seem to look down on the 'fun' that others are having...Alex almost looked wistful last night, like he really wanted to get out there and join in, but, like Sandy and Adele before him, Tim doesn't approve of Alex clowning around and is highly influencial on Alex's behaviour...............

You can't blame the psyche for certain though. For all we though they record a 30-minute balanced interview then trim bits out of context to tell the unbalanced story they wanted all along.

I reckon Jonnykate has escaped scrutiny for long enough. The acting aspect of thier clowning (in terms of trying to continually upstage the other HMs) would make a great storyette.

The manipulation though: note how Jade was always shown crying again: every shot giving us the sympathy angle (again).
Go on C4, show us all her bullying again: show us the clip when she allegedly said ****. Lets get the full picture ;o)

I think that Alex and Kate fancy each other in a physical way (the look),
but I don't believe that they can "live" with each other. I think the thing
that attracted him to Adele (other than the physic) is that he could have intelligent conversation with (that's why he realised that after talking to Adele she is a 'whole package') as well as she
(Adele) is the type that can handle Alex obsessive hygiene and his constant whining about trivial things, I can't see Kate handling this for a long-term.. It's obvious why she fancies Spencer, she feels she can be herself without watching her words or her hygiene. The other day when Alex and Kate were in the bath and Kate decided to tell Alex that she peed in the bath, Alex freaked out (of course she was joking), but if this did happen no doubt Alex will not be happy and will quarel with her, but if it was with Spencer, they (Kate and Spencer) will both pee in the bath and laugh at it. Alex and Kate's humour are not synchronised in this respect. His type of humour has some limits (that's why he doesn't like to be drunk and make a fool of himself), but her type of humour has no limit.

Also Alex doesn't seem to get many compliment
(outside the house) about his 'personality', and I believe Adele
was the only one in the house that touched this side of Alex when talking to
him. On the other hand he saw Kate mocking the way he talk, walk and befriended people who mocked his masculinity and mannerism and she didn't seem to be bothered about it

Totally agree, there people have put themself through many years of training and as such do know what they are talking about. I am however, a little more wary of the picture/handwriting analysts. That, to me, makes no sense!

In the early weeks of the show (when C4 didn't like Kate and were playing down her relationship with Spencer) one of the psychologists said that Kate crying after the oranges arguement was an example of her trying to maniupulate Spencer into the role of her protector. 5 weeks on, with Kate now a firm favourite and the only realistic chance of a female winner, the crying was now caused by her deep feelings for Alex. Whatever.

Like many others have said, the experts are painting the picture that Channel want us to see.

While their observations may have some basis in fact it is by no means an exact science and their are many interpretations of the same actions as well as numerous body language clues that can be contradictory. For all their qualifications, all they offer is an opinion not fact.

I too am wary of the picture/handwriting/shirt making/puppet making/eviction outfit wearing analysts, specifically the ones on BBLB who tell you nothing you couldn't have worked out/made up from the highlights.

The only way we could tell if the psychologists are making relevant behavioural observations is if they for instance analyse the pictures they drew of the house but the psychologist does not know anything about the person orwho even drew it.

Therefore, we would be able to see that they are saying points that are correct and not lay person beliefs.
