I can't believe the bollox that people who like Alex are laughing at him.
I laugh at Jonny which is why i think he's a tool.

I have decided to kick BB3 into the long grass and get on with my life! I've suspected for ages that the viewers, particularly those who only get C4 feeds have been duped and manipulated. I have no particular favourite among the HM's, although Kate seems to be the least objectionable.

The producers have given up on subtlety even - particularly around the awful Tim. We know he's awful but they beat us around the head with it. Note the sneering BB voice in the Diary Room "How do you think you're doing, Tim" - offering the poor bugger yet another opportunity to take careful aim and shoot himself in the foot. He hasnt a clue and he is being used for cheap sport. The sooner he is out the better for his own sake. People have misread his bravado for cockiness yet he is the most fragile of all in the house. Jade feigns fragility and vulnerability with great style!

One thing I have been unable to understand is the promotion of Jonny's case by C4. To anyone with an iota of psychological understanding he is least appetising of the bunch of them. The eyes are meant to be the window of the soul - his are dead. There is an lack of genuineness about him that is so glaring yet he is presented as the house carer. The house doesnt have a carer. If anyone can come near that description it's Alex, and even he drifts in an out of the role. Jonny cares, yes - for Jonny.

I have had a look at a few of the other posts on these boards and while the person called Elysium goes way over the top at times, s/he is close to understanding the man s/he pursues. The threads that describe Jonny as a misogynist (a disliker of women) are spot on. He doesnt like women at all - I'd love to witness some family therapy with Jonny and his family and the girl who occupies the position of "girlfriend". My hunch is that he'll be in the "His Majesty the Baby" role. It surprises me not one bit that there is speculation that he is a professional HM who has carefully crafted a persona based on the previous 2 winners. Trouble is for Jonny, the other 2 won because what you saw was what you got. With Jonny he has struggled to maintain the performance and he has lapsed with increasing regularity into the ugly personality beneath. Sandy spotted it, so did Adele. Sandy realised he was on a hiding to nothing and decided not to allow himself to become the scapegoat. Alex was the intended scapegoat but he has enough confidence to reject the role. Stop - I'm rambling!

My main point here though is that BB3 producers have patronised us for long enough. I for one am off! This also means I wont be posting here again either. I'm going on my hols now - yippee!

Kate totally over-reacted, which I think is due to the fact that she does like Alex. Alex may, as the psychologist said been smiling as he split Spence and Kate up, as he liked Kate and was jealous. Or he could have been smiling because he thought, what a piece of nonsense, what is she going on about, why's it such a big deal?! Either way, I'd hardly describe that as evil. I know exactly how u feel, I wish I could bring myself to switch off, I get closer and closer but cant quite reach the switch!! lol I can guarantee with hand on heart I wont watch next years show, it's supposed to be reality tv, it's not, it Big Brothers reality, whatever they decide to show.

I have never read somuch rubbish in my life. Jonny is one of the most genuine people in there along with Kate. If anyone is fake it is Alex. Alex only cares about himself and no-one else. The only people that matter to him are those that fawn over him (Sandy/Adele/Tim). I have noticed that those who are indifferent to him are sneered at by Alex. He is a bore and selfish to boot. Jonny by contrast is warm, caring, has a huge heart (he is the comforter in the house) and he is funny too. I recall when Jonny told of his fire crew rescuing people from a house and how they also always try to save pets too. Alex turns around and says he cannot understand how anyone would risk their life by going into a burning house just to save an animal. Alex has no soul and no heart. He is just a pampered pooch who as an only child has been spoilt rotten and is used to getting his own way. well not this time. He will NEVER win BB3. Have a nice holiday.............

I'm sorry to have to disagree with everything you say.

But particularly, Alex did not say he can't understand why someone would want to go into a house to rescue animals. He was asking whether the Fire Service would encourage firepersons to do so, as they probably would not advocate them risking their own lives for anything other than another human life.

This caring fireman role you rave about Mel is the most contrived I've seen. Firemen dont talk like that. They only really talk about their experiences with each other and their confidantes. Jonny's very aware that the cameras are on him, so are the eyes of some very soppy girls, and some very exploitative Sun sub-editors. He is extremely clever at manipulating emotions.

He is also not warm. He was not listening to Jade when she was upset. His body language was of disinterest. There was no contact with her - he self-consciously climbed on her bed and kept his distance, smirking at her mistakes and made his exit as soon as he could. Listeners and carers dont do what he did. It's my job to understand body language and listening skills. Believe me, Jonny has none.

Alex is not afraid to acknowledge his dark side and articulates it at the risk of enraging people who like life saccharin coated or who defend fiercely against their own "shadow". Jonny does this. However when drunk the mask slips. He is aggressive particularly towards females. He masks his aggression as a harmless bit of fun.

What is currently being interpreted as Kates collusion with his antics can be more accurately understood as the actions of one who is trying to cope with her underlying fear of the man. She doesn't have the ego strength to challenge him because she recognizes his capacity for rage, so her primitive response is to placate and collude.

I heard Alex say it myself so obviously you have not subscribed to the BB3 internet live feeds. He is uncaring and the way he also reduced Kate to tears on many an occasion proves this further. Have you ever seen Jonny verbally attck any of the women repeatedly and reduce them to tears? NO. I don't suppose the fact that Alex disregards the value of animals over human life will have any bearing on his fanatics here though. After all last years BB winner was proud of the fact that he hated chickens and had killed his family pet dog after torturing it.!

I tried to private message this to you, but you have disallowed that function (probably because you would receive so many flames *eek*).
Anyways, I just wanted to say that even though I don't agree with you about Jonny, I'm really glad I'm not the only one who heard Alex's comments about saving pets from house fires (within reason of course) in that way.
That conversation really changed my opinion about him. Animals are very important to me (and NO, I'm not an animal rights activist as some have tried to label me just because of my love for all animals - AND all beings I might add, but animals in particular). So, thanks for saying that as it has made me feel better not being the only one who saw that conversation in that way.
Then there was the "oh, lookee, I've found frogs in the garden, lets bring them into house, and make them live in a plastic bowl of chlorinated tap water" - sheesh. How ludicrious. Everyone over the age of ten knows that you never try to make wild animals into pets - you leave them in the environment where you found them (unless they are being threatened in that environment, and then you do your best to get assistance in relocating/helping them - so kudos to C4 for actually having some brains and taking the frogs away to be relocated into the wild!)
And even though Alex seems to be the only one with a big interest in the chickens (yes, I admit it, I absolutely adore chickens. Had hand raised ones as a child, and they are outstanding critters! Messy though *eugh*), and I appreciate seeing at least one of the HMs trying to interact with them, and get them some outside exercise by letting them out of their pen, I think it's more from boredom than genuine like of the chickens. He did after all want to eat them the moment he knew they were getting the house divided *LOL*
AND apparently (I didn't see this, I just heard Jade talking about it after the fact yesterday on E4 coverage), they (Alex and Jade) found this HUGE moth in the garden, and they were truly impressed with it from the sounds of her description. So impressed in fact, that Alex then took this huge, still alive moth, and fed it to the chickens! Jade was telling the tale to Kate, and remembered how the moth was so big, that when the chickens had a hold of it "you could hear it's wings beating off the side of the coop"! -"Yeah, I'm well impressed with nature, isn't it pretty and unique -- now lets watch it being eaten alive by a pack of hungry chickens!" WooHoo.

I know, I know, these are probably all really petty things to most people, but they mean something to me, and that meaning is that I have really changed my opinion about Alex over the past week or so. (Disclaimer: This is MY opinion being expressed here, NOT an attempt at "Alex bashing")
So... now I don't really care who wins. I've watched it this long, so I'll see it through to the end, but when it's all over, I'm really going to do some searching within myself as to why I ever enjoyed a show like this in the first place. I really do find it a waste of time, which is sad really when you take into account how short life really is.

I think, as usual, the psychologists are trying to read into the situation far too much. I think he was laughing at her and her reaction, rather than thinking "Yes! I have suceeded in splitting them up!" Alex isn't an evil genius. If he really was jealous, he'd be more likely to try and throw the oranges with Kate himself, or have a go at Spencer.

In any case, what I can't understand is why they're bringing up this incident now. It happened all the way back in week 2, and we're now in week eight. What is its relevance?

The incident was "analysed" in week 2 also. Of course at that time, Kate was not a favourite with C4 so her tears were said to be an attempt to manipulate Spencer into being her "protector". Now, in week 8 with Kate looking the only likely female winner, the tears were a sign of her deep feelings for Alex. As I said on the other thread, what.ever.

The incident has absolutely no relevance now, but the C4 producers want the viewers to believe there is a chance of romance between Kate and Alex.

I find it interesting that Alex showed no real interest in having a romantic entanglement in the house until the week he was up against Spencer for eviction. Suddenly Adele was confessing to fancying him, and he to her. He survived the eviction vote. He remained close to Adele until her departure. As soon as Adele left Alex was playing "Follow The Van" with Kate. And he was the instigator every time. Sometimes I think Alex is playing a game. Sometimes I think he just isn't clever enough even his most ardent supporter would have to agree that he's not exactly blessed in the brain department.

C4 is hoping for a Kate vs Alex final 2. I'm not convinced they'll get it.
