For goodness sake - it was harmless fun!!! It's pure and simply frolicing around in a pool with people you know.

I noticed Jade was laughing her head off and obviously enjoying all the attention. Not once, did she say in a serious way STOP - she lapped it up.

I found NO sexual inuendo at all - i think that is in the eye of some beholders.

Without Jade making a complaint what we saw was mearly an unfunny prank that _could_ have been grounds for a complaint. Since Jade was prepared to laugh it off, theres little point speculating about "if this happened somewhere else there'd have been an arrest"...no there wouldn't without a complaint being brought...

The issue that _is_ very disturbing perhaps is that Jade could laugh it off rather than wish to protest seriously...that is indicative of how many young women feel when pressed into awkward and unwanted situations...laughing it off is a defence rather than wanting to be seen as making a big fuss over "a bit of fun".

On the other hand, I'd hate to live in a world where every case of high spirits and mild sexual teasing would lead to a jail sentence. In this regard, how is this incident different from BB2 when Brian had his trunks ripped off? Would those here arguing for arrest have argued the same in that case? If not, why? If so, then please explain exactly where the line was crossed in both cases? The footage I saw showed Jade laughing during the act (again, a defence mechanism)...so what criteria makes this actionable? I'm not trying to flame here, but would really like to know how people judge the difference...

...the most disturbing thing I've ever seen was the video footage of a woman (stripper as it happened) being subjected to assult and rape following a 'frat' party she was employed at in America as a documentary about the case...*shudder at the memory* All through that she was laughing but struggling, and to hear her words played over it explaining how she actually felt means I do sympathise with the idea that what happened could have been construed as assult...but it's not black and white I don't think and some of the comments here seem to over simplify for me to fully agree with...

In this case, I do tend to think you're right...but it's by no means certain how Jade was feeling, and _IF_ she was feeling harrassed but felt unable to complain, it WAS harrassment...it was NOT molestation however has the thread title indicates...unless something very hidden took place beneth the water.

Tess, I agree with you! Just that how you react at the time, and did you seem upset or were you enjoying the fun is material! That Jonny did this is what I find totally unnaceptable, and I wonder if Jade had held Kates arms so she could be striped of her bikini by another man, on camera, would she have been so tolerant? It is a bit nauseating. I can't agree with anyone who says that this is the sort of thing to accept as just as a bit of fun.... and then have ppl say we are just being moany and boring for complaining. Shame on you, Jonny, you creep.

I saw it myself. I dont need to watch a recording. She was clearly laughing just as anyone does in those circumstances. Jade can more than stand up for herself and certainly wouldnt let something happen to her that she didnt enjoy and I hardly think she looked intimidated. She was laughing her head off and enjoying in the fun.

It swings both ways. I don't agree with what Kate and Jonny did, and the bit I can say I dislike about Jonny is that he doesn't know where the limit is, he doesn't know when to stop, in fact I would go so far as to say that I condem it, but it is up to Jade to consider whether it was playful fun or something more sinister.

The difference had it been happening to Kate I would imagine would have been that if she'd felt uncomfortable/harassed she'd have had the self worth/confidence to object vociforously and no one would have been in any doubt as to her objections....or, she'd have seen it as silly fun and laughed it off, but we wouldn't have had the same dilema of not knowing how she felt....or at least, I'd have felt more sure I think....maybe not...better if these sorts of pranks don't happen to anyone, though they _CAN_ be fun even as the victim of them so it would seem to be much more complex than many here accept...

I have to agree with this point...there has been an awful lot of sexual teasing in the house this year, and this latest incident was in many ways no more extreem than many before it.

Personally, had someone in the house bitten my bum I'd have taken issue with them...I won't mention here someone I know who lost their job for exactly that...(not my bum, someone elses)

I think what I observed on the sunday night programme was obscene, there is no comparison between that and any other incident on BB of a 'flirty' nature. The jade/jonny/kate incident was not flirting, it was assualt, molestation whatever you wish to call it. Frankly I am appauled that anyone would want to excuse that.

I'm not excusing it. I have said that I condem it. I'm just stating that everyone to a lesser degree has indulged in similar activities.

Equally disturbing in this incident was the genuine look of discomfort (if that is the right word) on Kate's face it's one of the few times that Kate has not been able to hold her own. I'm sure that an alcohol fuelled Alex thought this to be harmless fun at the time but if he was to watch a VT of it he wouldn't be proud as I'm sure Kate and Jonny wouldn't also be of their pool antics,It's 7-8 weeks in and they all think they know each others level of tolerance perhaps they should all be a bit more tolerant of the youngest member who at times deserves to be protected for her own good

IMHO it is up to Jade to complain if she so wishes.

On the outside of the house we can only make judgments on what is presented to us on the TV screen, we do not hold the keys to Jades mind, we don't know her feelings about the incident. If Jade was at all upset about the incident it would have been brought up in a chat with BB and Jonny and Kate would have been warned about their behavior.

Who's excusing it? People are mearly pointing out that it's not as cut and dried as you percieve it to have been. I certainly don't wish to call it "molestation" as that would certainly be inaccurate and over exageration. Harrassment certainly, or assult probably...but both of these rely on the 'victim' seeing it that way rather than high jinx.

Since we can't see into Jades mind, we have no way to judge if either term applies. We could equally judge that Jade enjoys being naked and is an exhibitionist based on her stripping naked on her own in the drinking games the other night...I don't believe this for one second, but the point is WE DON'T KNOW, and we can't act as thought police based on our own opinions of what is in someone elses head.

If Jade felt harrassed or assulted I'd defend her every step making a case, but if she genuinly found it funny and didn't mind, then I'd defend Jonny and Kate from pointless critisism too...

I think its hard to know exactly how to feel not having been in a similar situation. I know that if it had been myself i would have laughed at the time while squirming with embarrassment, it would probably be a while later before I would look back on it and get upset and hurt by what happenned and probably more hurt that Kate had been involved.

I always used to think it was comical that an employee would take their boss to court for harrassment when all he would have done was to playfully slap her bum while she was bent over a filing cabinet, I used to take the attitude the same as some here in that it was only a bit of harmless fun and where's their sense of humour.

Finding myself in a similar situation sometime later I found out for myself that its NOT funny at all even if you do laugh it off at the time.
