I doubt very much Jade would actually be able to sue but the really disturbing thing is, as one posted and several intimated, "when a woman says no chances are she really means yes".

Jonny's whole attitude and beliefs appear centred around the caveman. Forcibly stripping a fellow HM who is clearly stating NO throughout.

No one here : NO ONE, knows what Jade was really thinking. What it looks like and the signals it sends / reinforces are clear enough. If that behaviour occured at an office party in most big companies these days, Jonny would be OUT.

It's not black and white ... but there is something very unsettling behind the pattern of things Jonny does as a "joke".

During the day, having discussed this with a few reasonable people, I'm of the opinion now that the likely reason BB felt able to show the clip later after chopping it live was because they'd had time to ask Jade how she felt about it. They are bound to have run it past their legal people, and the key issue is how Jade felt about it...if they didn't ask, they certainly should have.

I'm also increasingly of the view that this was stupid messing about between 'friends' which all parties concerned would equally laugh about and would all be amazed at how seriously some people have taken it on this thread.

Were Jonny and Kate right to do it? It's not something I'd do, but I don't think it was worth more than a disaproving look if I'd been there and a nod to Jade to make sure she wasn't that serious in her protests, which is how it appeared.

One thing that remains an unpleasant taste from this thread is how many people have said things like "and Kate as a woman should not have done it". Why does being a woman make any difference? If it was wrong, it's wrong regardless. Personally now I don't feel it was 'wrong'...I'd term it unfortunate and illadvised...maybe even a little in the territory of Getting Even for things in the past, but nothing more severe than that...

...honestly, I don't think Jade will be terribly embarassed about it in hindsight...she's much more likely to be embarassed about her willing actions (even when drunk) being in bed with PJ that night....I'm actually NOT looking forward to seeing Davina ask her about that now in the light of this discussion...if she's made to squirm in the spot light over that, isn't that bullying too? Somehow the whole show has taken a rather unpleasant twist in the light of some issues raised in this thread for me now, though I had started to feel that with Adele's eviction night too...

My take on Jade has not changed. I believe she is an adult who knows exactly what she is doing. I think her humourous misuse of words (jadeisms) is funny but not without will: I have a feeling it is practiced.

But my point was that since many (note, not saying you) seem to think she has the mind of a child and is thereby excused all responsibility for the less savoury aspects of her behaviour in the house ... surely whe should apply the same standards to somone who takes advantege of that vulnerability?

Repeating one 30-y old joke does not mean Tim should be executed (as some on this forum have suggested) any more than this incident means Jonny is a rampant sex offender.


But his actions were WRONG and it is quite inappropriate to be shown on national TV.

What I didn't like is when they threw her bikini bottams and top away Jade pleaded with them to get it for them. Kate wouldn't and said she should get out the pool and get it her self. I thought that was horrible, was she trying to redicule her even more, I noticed she was very cold when she said that as well, you could tell Jade was not happy and very distressed.

1) Jade got naked in the stripping game mostly cos she was drunk and her inhibitions were down. She wanted to be seen to be fitting in with her peers in the house. The boys tried to rig it against her AND Kate but only Jade fell for it as she was more drunk. Kate EVENTUALLY came to her aid with a towel (though it was rejected initially) but only AFTER egging her on to strip.

2) Jade said NO in the pool. She may have laughed but again it was a case of trying to fit it. Plus it is in the nature of humans not to "grasds up" others and be seen as a snitch so of course Jade wouldn't have moaned to BB if she was trying to fit in with the "gang"....who would have liked her if she'd got them in trouble with BB (though that doesn't excuse the producers for not pulling them up on it regardless of whether or not she'd complained...then again, they are meant to be adults and not kids who need telling off like they're at school so it is a hard one to call)

3) None of this sticking up for Jade means that her past behaviour has been forgiven...we would have been just as angered if it had been done to one of the others.

4) If it was more light-hearted then perhaps there is a problem with the production team that have been presiding over, and in some people's opinions, ruining, this years Big Brother. If I were working higher up at Endemol and C4 then I would be asking questions about why the producers saw this to be entertaining. The other night when Jade was drunk and stripped was amusing...especially in the context of the hour when it occured (I saw it initially on E4...all-be-it with "cooping")...but what they showed the other night was footage which, in the way it was shown, had every oppertunity to be misconstrued and taken out of context and now there is a distinct uncertanty as to the nature of the incident and how "fun" the incident actually was.

Glad to see that we now have psychics on the forums who can see into peoples minds and decide that what they say is fake........

It may not be intentional (read thought out) but there is a world of difference between observing someone's behaviour and expression what you *think* they were thinking to explain it and stating your (necessarily) prejudiced views as fact.

No matter what I think of Jade for instance, or believe about Jade, that can never be more than conjecture. Her behaviour pattern fits in with my experiences of loud gobby "funny" types. As such I'm led to the conclusion she is not mentally sub-normal but a bit self-centred. Not meaning in a selfish way but in seeing things only as they revolve around her: I can't imagine her trying to analyse how another HM feels about how she acts.
In no way can I be sure that I'm right: all I can be sure of is when another HM talks as if they have *the* answer they are no more likely to be right than me.

So is it Jolly Jonny the Jape - is that the real him. Or is it the morosely serious creature of the middle few weeks? Is he the level headed family man to be or is he the closet perv. his "humour" betrays. Is he honest Jonny the Samaritan or Scheming Jonny the snake?

There is no way of reading his mind. When it comes down to it I'll vote for whoever (Kate of Alx) is against him for one main reason: he is a slob (proudly pissing in the shared shower is vile) and he chain smokes in the communal areas. That is no more logical than voting Tim out because he speaks the way he does.
