For goodness sake no one is equsting being well brought up with the family income. I think you'll find people think of Alex as well brought up as he displays vertain manners and respect towards other people which is totally irrelevant of his parent's bank balance.

It costs no money to teach any child the basic of table manners for instance. Some of the best mannered people I have ever met have come from the roughest council estates the country has to offer, equally some of the rudest and most ill-mannered people I have met have come from the upper classes.

I think its laughable when Jonny gets so uptight that Alex 'tolerates' him. Surely toleration is one of the staples of an accepting and to a degree peaceful society.

If people don't like Tim because of the <I> way </I> he behaves fair enough but those who are rude simply because of his accent are no more than inverted snobs little better than the people who are disrespectful to those who they think are 'common'.

Agreed, it was a bit of fun that, in my opinion, went too far, but at the end of the day surely it is up to Jade to complain if she felt violated in any way.

Yes Tim is a snob and totally thinks that Jade, Kate and Jonny are well beneath him. Alex on the otherhand just cannot pick his friends wisely. You can see at times that he really wants to join in the fun, but maybe sticks with Tim so he is not left out. Once Tim goes I think we will see a different Alex, plus he does have toothache as well which is probably making him into a wet blanket. Alex and Jonny are quite honest with eachothers feelings of eachother and only Tim is dishonest as he goes for sympathy from the others then slags them off to Alex. In Alex's defence he does not encourage it.
