OK, the situation is that my Dad has a newly arrived Panasonic TH42PE50 plasma and a DMR-EH60DEB arriving sometime this week (I hope).
Obviously I want to connect the EH60 up via component cables to get the best possible picture but I also want it to be as easy to use as possible for my elderly Dad, so I really want the TV to switch to the output from the EH60 when he presses play which I realise is not possible with a component cable.
I don't suppose it is possible that if you connect a component cable AND a SCART cable it will do the automatic switch to the EH60 output but can be set to use the component cable for the display. If this is possible do I also need the audio cable or can the video be taken from the component and the audio from the SCART.
