No wonder certain people were so keen for Tim to take the call. And for Tim to strenuously reject the offer. And for the rest to say they didn't want it.

I think Tim was worried what would happen if it went wrong. He could be seen in an even worse light than he already is. As it is I think it did him good, and I also think it did Jonny good as well, as he came out of it smelling of roses!

I was ridculed on another post for saying this, I'm sure Jonny thought there was a sting in the tail, possibly whoever took the call would then be up for eviction, but not only that, they'd have to pick another HM to join them for eviction. Not long before the task, Jonny is shown slagging Tim off in the diary room, then all of a sudden he's mr compassionate and caring..."I think Tim should take the call" I think he wanted Tim to get the sting in the tail, also he thought it would make him look good on the outside...oh what a nice bloke, he should have just said I dont want the call and left it at that, But oh no, he had to "nominate" Tim. Anyone who thinks I'm talking bollocks, did u not think it was odd right after, why they were wondering why noone was up for eviction, does that mean it's back to nominations on Monday, which means they did think the task was a trick. Jonny and Tim were the two most curious and Jonny sends Jade to the diary room, could he not get off his own backside?

They had no reason to think it would lead to nomination because they had already had the full instructions for the task. It only said it was for food and a phone call.

Jonny incentive for encouraging Tim to take the call was to promote his role as father in the house, something of a success, but twisted by subsequent editing, as was Alex being sulky about it.
