Watching 'The Wright Stuff' this morning, one of the presenters, Emma Forbes was going through the newspapers, and picking up the Sun, said something like 'oh, Jade thinks she might be pregnant...' cue Matthew Wright cracking a joke about her giving birth to piglets!

Ive had a look at the Sun website, but cant see anything - does anyone know anything about it, or was Emma Forbes just making a silly statement?

Probably a reference to a conversation Alex and Jade had in the garden yesterday morning about whether Jade's period was overdue. (Actually, I was bit surprised it wasn't editted out at 10:30 in the morning - the DS Live Updates didn't refer to it either). With a bit of back calculation, it would appear that Jade is three weeks overdue; however Alex pointed out the effect of stress, etc.

Alex doesn't seem to know about the length of a menstrual cycle

Jade says she got her period just before going to the poor side for the first time, and while she was there. I thought it was just after, when she was on the rich side again and had that row with Adele.
But either way, bars up for 3 weeks, down for one which makes Jade due any day now (maybe a few days late)

She also said that she stopped taking the pill before she came in as she didn't anticipate needing it. Alex said this would put her cycle out. Yes it might, but more likely that it wouldn't.

Thank you for clearing that up. I find Jade confusing to listen to at the best of times.

There was a cracking piece on Ri:se this morning about the supposed pregnancy, PJ was on and they were asking him about it and the wee irish guy (don't know his name) said to him "you'd better hope she's not or she'll take you for every penny, I've met her mother!!!" well maybe it loses a lot of the humour when writing it down but trust me, it was funny (and accurate.)

Actually it was Alex who was confusing the issue. He got from her being one week late to being three weeks late!!

If she were, she would not have had a period for 7 weeks, and we know that she has had her "womens problems" because she harassed BB for more toilet paper, because of it.

The funny thing Alex said was " oh yeah! you had to have a bath, didn't you?". Not sure where that fitted in!

Depends on the type of pill. If it's one that you take for 3 weeks then stop for one, then her periods could be out of synch for a few months. She would have one almost immediately after stopping taking it, then may miss one completely. If it's the type that you take constantly then it's unlikely to affect her cycle.

She definitely told Kate that her last period was the week before the bars went up, and I assume she'd finished by the time her and Peej were rolling around in bed, so 4 weeks with the bars, 1 week without, makes her around 2 weeks overdue (counting from the probable start of the last one as being mid week 2).

Can't quite believe I'm discussing BB HMs menstrual cycles, I'm off to find another thread!

Other option, that Jade is actually worried about it. I know that could be out of the question for those who just like to look for any reason to get at the housemates, but try showing some consideration for what, could be, a very worrying moment for Jade.

Judging by Jade's bad mood yesterday and the way she bickered and barked at anyone who came in the kitchen I would say that her period is due any day now, as soon as I read how she was being on the C4website I immediately thought to myself...UHO PMT big time

Jade & Kate were talking about their periods a couple of days ago. Kate said she was weeks 4 & 8 but I couldnt catch what Jade said cos she was uncharacteristically quiet.

On the main news they said she could be pregnant, because she has put on alot of weight and has been eating alot.Well that could have been said for a few of the girls, as Adele bumped on quite abit when she was in there.
I would pile on pounds if I was sitting around all day, eating loads of chocolate etc.. and drinking the amount they do. Alot of the eating is through boredom and just because it's there.So on that evidence I would say she wasn't and with all this talk of her periods etc... she would have to have been at least 3-4 months pregnant going into the house to have shown the weight gain the news had picked up on.
Shes just an unlucky girl who gains weight easily, I should know cus I have the same problem and if I was in there I would have gained at least a stone as well!!

Apart from the stress, and the fact that she's just come off the pill, it is a known phenomenon that women living together tend to synchronize; and while that's happening, menstrual cycles are often a bit out.

Not fair. If you miss your period, especially if you suspect or know that you've had unprotected sex, it's a nightmare.

Thing is, even if she's only a week late, she can do an over the counter pregnancy test. BB should give her one.

Regularity of periods can change with your diet, and Jade's diet went from her usual in the outside world, to eating a lot, then when she went over to the poor side she was on a low amount, all this could play a part. But I don't really think we can predict something like this when I don't even think Jade is. Although I do know when ou come off the pill you are more fertile.

Of course it would be great, with Jade's life possibly ruined, but it's OK, PJ would look stupid so it's not a problem.

I'm sorry but I don't have sympathy for people who think just because they are on national TV they don't need to use a condom, like being on TV will protect you from pregnancy and disease. She's an adult and old enough to take responsibility for her own actions.
