Does anyone know?

From the VT in the first episode it seems she reached the top of her career and acheived as much as she thought she could acheive.

Karen may have thought it best to retire possibly because when she split with Bryan and he formed his partnership with Carmen, after they had achieved every possible title together, there could be nobody else with whom she could continue to be so successful, and there was nothing left to aim for? I don't know.

I didn't see the first several episodes this year. (I know, big slap on hand!)

So I don't know who Bryan is but I gather from what you say he was her dancing partner.

Why did she say that her career was ended by one 'phone call?

The phone call bit I don't get - possibly Bryan saying he wanted to split to dance with Carmen? I honestly don't have the foggiest!

I dont think Karen wanted that split with Brian and is how it was forced on her then she met her hubby to be and had the baby I really think Karen will definitely do next year if offered
