Who are the most genuine housemates left....

Most genuine first.

1)Alex - Mature, not afraid to state unpopular opinions e.g. hygine issues, confident in his femininity.

2)Jade (St. Jade on C4) - If only because she's now desperately trying to cope rather than win/last the show.

3)Kate - While many think she' s playing up to the cameras or being manipulative I think she's being herself. This is based on my experience of drama students at uni - all of whom stand out a mile as they see life and the world as a stage worthy of a 24/7 performance (not that I''ve got anything against drama students).

4)Tim - As a late entrant he knows he has no hope of winning and will not be pressured into doing anything he is uncomfortable with (phone call aside). Talks more sense than any of the remaining housemates however comes across as arrogant. Instant dislike of Sophie and bad mouthing of Kate especially as well as as Jade and Jonny make me weary of his motives.

----------------------(no. 5 is in a class of his own)----------------------

5)Jonny "I'm a plant" Regan - Humour mildly funny in week one, now seem VERY forced at times, nominated his 'mate' Spencer, tries to pretend he get on well with everyone and demands a stewards inquiry if someone doesn't like him. Obsession with nudity, imposing it on others as well as himself together with a belief that he has the god given right to not to be nominated based on the fact that his family are from Newcastle and that he's liable to go into deep depression if nominated. He differs from Kate's "performing" in that he seems to demand to be the center of attention when the spotlight is on someone else.

Whilst I'm no fan of Jonny I'm certainly not "Anti-Jonny"

There are levels of genuineness .. and I think most would readily agree that Alex is almost certainly the most genuine of all the housemates.. even Tim, to a certain extent, is just trying to be himself.. Jonny is the most false followed by Kate, then Jade (Alex, Tim, Jade, Kate, Jonny)

It has got to be Alex.
followed by:
Tim and Jade they don't know any better sad as it is.
'Curtain up showtime' Jonny and Kate.

Alex and Tim are the most genuine followed by Jade. They don't treat BB like it's their big chance to break into the limelight.

However, Jonny and Kate switch on to acting mode form the moment they surface to they moment the retire. They are so OTT it is sickening. There is nothing natural about their behaviour whatsoever and the wannabe aspect of their character is drowning out their real personalitites, except when Jonny has been depressed although this was an attempt at the sympathy vote.

CH4 wanted to get away from the wannabe housemates this year, quite clearly two have slipped though the net.

Would this be the same Alex who resorts to talking bollocks to get out of a sticky situation

"The informations in my head and the computer is processing the data, I'll get back to you"

"Jades been saying things but you've got to remember there's 2 versions to every story, like with the World Trade Centre there was one version on the BBC and another on CNN"

Que????????????

And as for Jonny and Kate in 'acting mode' why don't you lighten up a little. If you can't take someone having a bit of fun, then maybe its you who has the problem.

I disagree, they constantly play up to the cameras and always try to be the center of attention whenever anything intresting is going on.

Actually I've just realised the chickens have someting in common with a certain other housemate.....

I don't need to 'lighten up a little'. The question was 'who are the most genuine housemates left...', all I am doing is giving my opinion. Why don't you 'lighten up a little' and post something constructive.

I think they're all genuine and acting naturally, that's what worries me........

How can you say Alex is genuine, unless you mean genuinely Selfish, childish, attention and approval seeking and generally annnoying. He is a typical only child, spoilt, mummys boy sop - that's why he's sulking now - his power base is being decimated by evictions, and he is losing control.

Great post GJO, I agree completely.

However, I would say that Alex is confident in his *masculinity*

Phrases like this are indicative of Alex's genuiness. He's got insight, struggles to articulate it, and comes out with gems like these while doing so.

People's taste varies: Many people dislike Alex because of statements like this. Others, such as myself, love them. In his verbal clumsiness, he somehow seems to shape deeper truths very, very well.

Well said JoJo4,
Alex is beginining to irritate me now far more than he used to
His anti-social phases are now showing him up...I dont think he's coming across as genuine at all.
I think Jonny, Kate & Jade are 'what you see is what you get'
Tim.....hmmmmm tricky!!

on a scale of genuine to totally fake:

This may be your opinion of Alex, but I feel that what you see is what you get with him, with all his failings and foibles. He is not acting...if he was, surely he could do a better job! So yes, Alex is genuine as far as I'm concerned.

SO how excactly does Alex quirkiness make him not genuine. Alex is definately the most genuine.

Kate and Jonny are just a couple of wannabes they try to put on the Jonny and Kate show 24-7, if thats how they really are in real life their parents would have shot them by now.

I'd say, that although I find Alex annoying and I don't particularly like him, he is probably the most genuine of the HMs.

I also think Jade is pretty genuine and probably forgets there are cameras on her all the time.

Jonny/Kate/Tim I believe are all acting all the time.

kate-jade-johnny-alex-tim.

no one can argue with that.
this is my opinion as no one really knows who is genuine and who is not as none of us know how they act outside of the house.

and dont try and disregard my post just because i dont agree with you about alex (ive had enough of that in other threads).

Who are the most genuine HM's left.

Well given that they are all taking part in a game. They have been placed in a false environment then the answer is none of then are being genuinely themselves as what we see is not how they would behave normally.

Although if to name just one it would have to be Jade, but not 100% of the time ,maybe only 50%.

The rest including Alex maybe only 25% genuine.

If Kate, Jonny and Alison for that matter, act in everyday life as they do in the house people would be giving them a wide berth and they would be friendless.

I don't believe for one minute that it is possible for anybody to act totally naturally in front of the cameras unless they didn't know they were there.

It's a question of who is least affected and I would say this has to be Alex and Tim. Jonny and Kate, more often than not, are playing up to the cameras. It's no secret that both would like to pursue acting careers so they have an in built urge to perform when there is a camera shoved in their face. It's amazing how different people are when there is a camera on them and they are both shining examples of this.

Tim is a lot of things but he really really does not appear to be using any kind of deception to win. If we are talking "being genuine" as in "not modifying your behaviour for the benefit of the viewers" then I reckon Tim is number 1 by a street. PJ would have been not far behind.

I would bet big money that if I met Tim in a pud he would be entirely consistent with what we have seen. I've met people exactly like him - who have such an "un-streetwise" view of the world. Why is he there? Bizarre really, for the experience?
Either way, it don't make him false - just unpopular.

Alex? Heck, the guy is always discussing how things look.
Jonnykate: the terrible twins are both accomplised actors who are alway playing for the audience. Can't wait for thier nominations this week: betting they will match.

Jade: A dark horse in the genuine stakes. My goodness, is she really like that all the time? Arrgh. I'm far from decided how much is her and how much is clowning. She appears to love to be the centre of attention ... it may be though that she is simply at the centre of her own little world.

Thats easy - starting with the most genuine -
1) Alex
2) Jade
3) Tim
4) Kate
5) Jonny

Jonny is without doubt one of the most deceptive, two-faced,insincere,unpleasant individuals I have ever come across. He is always playing to the cameras from the moment he wakes up onwards - he is so desperate to win and escape from his Northern roots that he has even shown that he is prepared to sacrifice his family's happiness - the phone call incident(please see other threads)
