On ITT tonight, karen and bill both said they wanted The Dazzler to win. I've been in a dilemma where to shift my vote...now tempted to take K and B's lead to vote for Darren. How does everyone else feel?

If Darren is safe in first place, can Anton & Patsy have them pretty please.

It's too early to even think about it! I'm still recovering from the shock! I shall see what Saturday brings.. I know it definitely WON'T be Patsy & Anton though.

Oh no! I've already upset Catherine1975 on another thread with same question! I feel like person going up to widow at funeral asking if she fancies going speed dating next week! But the competition goes on. I have an agenda. I don't want Zoe to win.

Oh well it was worth a try. I just really think Anton deserves to do well. I'll go back to the Anton thread now, can't blame me for trying. lol
Happy posting

sorry but voting for Anton is wasting a vote they are not as good as top three at all. I am going to vote goughie and colin I want them in final they derserve it after watching zoe's performance saturday more convinced than ever the judges are biased to her so will plough my votes to those two in the hope at least one of them makes final

I don't want to say it so soon after the event...

...

(but I will be, yeah...and not just coz they want him to win it.)

Yup I agree bendymixer. The three best celebrity dancers are Colin, Darren and Zoe. But if Chris Parker can make it to the final two over Leslie Garrett and Marton Offiah in series 1, anything is possible. I'll keep hoping for a miracle.

I think Bill & Karen fans should transfer their support in whichever direction they like (several directions if that's the way they feel) If you like Darren and Lilia, then vote for them. If Patsy and Anton are more to your liking, go for it - the same goes for the other three couples. I doubt B&K expected all of their fans to transfer their support in the same direction they are going to (unless they're trying something sneaky... hmmm.... )

Vote vote vote for Goughie!!!!!!!

He has done so well, has such lightness on his feet, has such emotion when he dances, has even made me weep a little when I've watched him.

Colin seems good but lacks a certain something to me as a non-dance person. I think Patrick Swayze expressed what was lurking - Colin is all top and no bottom!

Zoe seems very good but somehow isn't as good as the judges think...........no, I have no real idea what I am talking about but am going by the goosebumps factor.....and she and Ian raise very few when I watch them. (Oh and there's that gap thing someone pointed out a while ago, ever since I keep seeing double decker buses driving between them on the dance floor....)

Patsy and Anton, well, there's something not right between the pair of them..........no idea what it is, but they ain't right - when they showed a clip of Lesley Garrett dancing with Anton it looked so much better......

As for James, well I admit I have a totally non-dancing thing about him but am trying to overcome it .........In some ways, as he has no sporting (which involves basic fitness) or acting/theatrical background (which may well include dance lessons) then it could be argued that he has come the furthest in achievement............

Oh well, at least some of the money goes to Children in Need!

I never understand why the phone lines are open all week.

I'm not into voting for personalities. I think you should wait until Saturday and see who dances the best and vote accordingly.

Overall so far I think Zoe has been the best, although I would be happy to see Darren win as he has improved each week and has been surprisingly better than I imagined he would be.

What is the criteria for winning?
Is it the best dancer, or the dancer who improves the most each week?

It would be easier if I could vote for personalities because then I would just vote Darren because I'm in love with the gorgeous Lilia. (lilia has no competition now that the equally lovely Karen is out).

I still think I need to see someone give it some sparkle for me to support them... before the weekend it was Darren & Lilia who I thought I may be able to support if *shock*horror* the wonderful Bill & Karen were voted out - though I don't really mean voted out because everyone was voted in so they just were the least voted in. Their jive in particular had impressed me.. this week I wasn't too keen on their foxtrot.. but I do have to admit I was distracted by the fact that the Big Spender music kept making me think of a Tango!

Well I think the phone lines open all week as from the BBC point of view the show is about raising money for Children in Need.

I'm not sure there is a laid down criteria for winning, it's just about voting for whoever floats your boat. The dance purists will quite rightly judge the dancers in a completely different way from the 'I like x's chest' brigade. Then you have the 'well I quite fancy him/her' lot who will vote purely on 'sex appeal' (hence by James Martin comment earlier ).

Then there's the Ballroom Bill type fans, an altogether different appeal which borders on the 'thinking woman's crumpet' coupled with a 'why can't my husband learn to dance like that' feeling..........

Another swarm of fans come from the soap operas - the fanbase fans if you like. This was epitomised by that Moon laddy who got to the finals but could not dance at all! Am trying to work out quite where Julian Clary fits into this but he must do

I never vote in the week, I leave it til I've watched the dancers on Saturday night then dial away - redial has been used on occasion But this show is a rare thing for me - it's not often I will vote at all!

But my musings all end in one thought..............VOTE GOUGHIE 2 WIN!

That's a detailed analysis... but I'm afraid I cross your categories... I was a dance purist who got inspired by Ballroom Bill but not for the reasons you outline.. . I can fantasise about a chest and not vote for them... I was also a Julian Clary voter..

I think for me.. I have voted for different things each series..as a dancer I want the best dancers... but then there are also other things to take into account:-

Series 1 - It was Natasha & Brendan from week 1... I saw she was a natural dancer... they had magic together and that week when she danced foxtrot and started loving dancing had me hooked on them.

Series 2 - I felt a little grumpy about voting for Jill & Darren because I felt that Jill's dance training in other subjects gave her an unfair advantage. (though as I have said before I did end up voting for her in the final). I then followed Aled & Lilia and also Julian & Erin. I thought their improvement was fantastic and what Erin managed to get Julian to do in the end was great! They had a strange sort of appeal... she did steps that Julian could cope with and that put him at ease. I didn't like the way Denise finished her lines... she didn't seem to have the musicality the other couples had.

Series 3 - I was overwhelmed by Bill & Karen in week 1. I hadn't decided that they were to be the ones then... I just had really enjoyed their dance... and the more I saw them each day on iTT the more they grew on me... the more enjoyment I had out of them... I have tried hard to let another couple excite me when they dance but it hasnt happened... this year I went by who made me smile the most.. who gave me goosebumps... who filled me warmly inside.

So I cannot analysie my thought process either.

This is why the public vote starts to get more a more predictable at this stage. A fair old few people were voting for Bill and Karen - what happens to those votes now (if the peopel do decide to keep voting) could completely change the show.

Will people now vote for the best dancer every week rather than their favourite overal personality? (Colin, Zoe)

Will they vote on most improved? (Darren)

Will they give their votes to the underdogs who they think need them? (Patsy, James)

Certainly does add some extra spice into the mix!

I mean, based on last year's semi final result, it looked like Julian was going to win on public support. In the final I should imagine that a lot of Aled and Lilia fans voted for either Jill or Denise, which could have made all the difference.

I agree with B and K that Darren has been a real revelation and the most improved, he'd never danced before SCD and his dancing has been astonishing to me.

Charisma wise I love James. So I'm in a quandary between the 2 *local to me* Yorkshire lads. I'll just keep on voting for both of them at the moment and worry who I'll vote for at crunch time when it comes!

Yes give the votes to Darren! He's been my favourite since day one! I dunno why there's just something about him! You want to see me and my friends in school over him, we're like ga ga over him! He's amazing! He needs all the support he can get cause as much as I let Zoe and Ian they'll never beat Darren and Lilia and we can't let Z+I win!

SO VOTE DARREN AND LILIA!
