Just had a look on the 18866 site and it says 4p connection fee. I know it was 3p a few days ago. Still good value but creeping up.

Interesting - the front page certainly says 4p connection charge but the next page still says 3p. Well it actually says 3p in one place and 4p in another on that second page. Maybe they are in the process of updating, or more likely modifying a gif is a little more time consuming, that's if they spotted it yet.

Yeah, have noticed too. Time to switch to their sister service 1899 for those UK landline calls.

I will be switching to their sister site too. I've opened an account with 18185.co.uk and will use them for mobile calls. I will use 1899 for landline calls.

I got an email from 18866 and right at the end it mentions the increase in connection fee.

can you have all three of these on the same line? and just use the dialing code for the provider you would like to use for that call?

1 8 8 6 6

You have too many 1s and not enough 8s.

Do NOT dial 118866 - they are a DQ at £1.50 connection, then 30p/min.

18866 is not a DQ service, it is an indirect carrier of phone calls.

Once registered, you dial 18866 before your required number ie) 18866 0121 888 8888, your call will then go via 18866 and you will only be charged 4 pence for the entire call.

There is no monthly fees with 18866 you just pay the cost of the calls you make.

Yes, you can have your CPS provider such as TalkTalk or Just Dial Saver - so it automatically routes the calls via them (use for free calls, for no monthly fee).

Then you can also register with, Call 18866, Call 1899 and Call 18185. You then either don't dial a prefix for your CPS service (free calls) or which ever prefix offers that call at the cheapest price.

You have to be very careful using 18866. Misdial 11866 and it'll cost you £1.50 for your mistake as that number has been allocated to an international directory enquiries service!

No, just stick it in your browser with .co.uk after it
