Superb Backing from the Band and Singers

Don't you think that the backing from both the band and signers is superb as always.

Sometimes it annoys me on this program that they employ the services of a pop star to sing for 3 minutes just to promote their new single.... Bring the backing singers to the front and let them have their five minutes of fame!!!!

What do others think?

I wouldn't mind this. I think their rendition of Cheek to Cheek last Saturday for the American Smooth was brilliant!

Yeah I agree, they are great. It annoys me when they get the blame for the professionals poor choice of song or the tempo. It's not chosen by them.

I absolutely adore the guy who sang Love Potion number 9 in the first episode. His voice was so perfect for it and definitely helped Bill and Karens Dance. I'm so glad we got a chance to see them ITT

I agree!!! They're fab!!! We don't even know their names do we??! I think there should be a whole ITT episodes dedicated to the singers and the band. I find it strange that they mention the conductor by name every week but have never had him on ITT to give his opinions on the show!

I know one is called Tommy Blaize and I think he sings backing vocals for Craig David

sorry I have to disagree I feel the band is not all that and certainly not one of the best the beeb have used over the years - the pros might pick their music but ultimately it will be the band leader who does the arrangements and some of them are poor. I not alone on this may dance teachers I have spoken too feel the same

As for the artist the pussycatdolls on saturday for instance did a geat cha cha with great feel AND GOOD TEMPO

I actually use the pussycat dolls SWAY (and also the Michael Buble version) to teach to. I do think the singers are good tho!

Claudia, if you're reading this, we do think this is an excellent idea! An introduction to the singers would make a very entertaining programme and add another dimension to our enjoyment of Saturday night.

Don't know about the band, but the backing singers have defintely been on ITT. It was quite near the begining of the series and each singer got the chance to sing a little solo and a seperate bit of an interview each. I seem to remember one of the guys saying that he had just been recording with Michael Jackson.
