I'm not particularly expert but I have had my hair dyed before and I seem to remember that hair colour is made up of blue, red and some other colour. Red is the last to go so the the gingeriness is caused by not leaving the bleach on long enough.

Agreed Carmen, and in this weather Jade should have wrapped it in clingfilm rather thanjust putting a cotton hat on. It probably started drying out before it had finished working, even though she'd left it the right amount of time.

She must have left the dye on too long - it can singe the hair - the peroxide burns it.

Or so I've been told.

I've cringed now for two days...Tim having his haircut by Kate and now Jades colour!!
I am a hairdresser and was cringing when I heard Jade say she wanted to leave the colour on for another 2 hrs!! NOOOOO I was shouting and was glad to see it had been rinsed off.
Unfortunatley for Jade home bleaching is usually the root to all things ginger!! even on the lightest of peoples hair.
So what does she expect, doing it herself!
Kate put the colour on for her and now seems to be taking a bashing again for so called harping on!
All she is doing is trying to reassure that the colour looks fine and not trying to make her feel worse as some are saying in this thread.
Anyone who has ever done there mates hair and it's not quite right reacts in the same way, purely because they feel slight guilt as they were the ones who put the colour on.
Jade asked her to do it and Alex said "kate is not a hairdresser"
So stop having ago at Kate please, all she was doing was trying to help.

It's disguised as attempts to reassure, and apparently it has fooled some people. But in fact the more Kate "tries" to reassure Jade, the more the hidden message is "the result is so awful you'll need a lot of reassuring", and subconciously Jade will hear this message. It's what the subconcious thinks that affects your confidence.

I saw it live too, Exulus, and I had a different opinion. There are bound to be different ways of looking at things, possibly biased by our own life experiences.

Honestly people shouldn't read into things so much. As I said before, all she is doing is to reassure her nothing more. That is normal human nature and to say we are being fooled! that is such a ridiculous statement. Have you not ever been in a position when someone has asked you there opinion and you didn't want to hurt someones feelings? You would react in the same way, well I certainly would and I certainly have no hidden adgendas.
It doesn't even look that bad.

Now that its dried it actually looked okay, but is very very blond and will take a while to get used to!
