Right, soap box out and whilist in bed with a heavy cold, I have decided to join a forum and get this off my chest. Is it just me or does Arlene really fancy Colin, A unbiased opinon I thought was the best qualifacation in a judge,but in recent weeks on the judging of Colin or indeed the mention of his name (ITT on a Friday) brings a huge smile to her face.
Poor old Bill and Will okay not the strongest of arguements but a better example would be Darren, a better foxtrott than Colin's the week before still bought a lower mark Darren = 8 Colin = 9. I would conceed that a similar voting pattern was followed by Craig however over all the weeks he has been more consitant than Arlene has. Len said that he would mark down Colin for bobbing up and down 2 weeks ago and since then he has done just that, Bruno on the other hand has been Mr. consitancy with his marking. After week 2 when in a off guarded moment said that she was looking forward to Will going home, I enjoyed watching her eat her words.
Patrick Swazey (sorry about spelling) said he had nothing going on upstairs, should be good for tango then. (well every rule has an exception). Sorry to go on but If there is to be another series and bbc willing there is I would like to see Arlene be replaced maybe by Karren, as we already have a west end choreorapher in Craig and Bruno is another more modern, but Len is the only strictly ballroom and latin and Karren has the experience of judging and competing and would offer more constructive approach to juding. Any way sorry to go on and you no doubt I will get shouted down but at least I had my say.

Er, no actually, Arlene gave both Colin and Darren an 8 for their foxtrots. Colin got 4 8s, despite Arlene's comment of "best celebrity foxtrot ever".

Sorry tututango but i checked the scores on the bbc strictly web site.

She gave Colin a 9 for his Viennese Waltz, not his foxtrot, as did Craig.

Len gave Colin 8 for the VW, but then, rather bizarrely, gave him high praise in the results show, and proceeded to have a row with Arlene and Craig about their "nitpicking" of Colin going out-of-time in the shadow turns.

I'm not an Arlene fan, but I have to concede she has good taste!

I always thought she fancied the Dazzler, not Colin. And she'd be after James if Darren went out (unlikely).

Although if she does fancy Colin then it's nice to hear he's finally got a judge in his corner.

She seems to have just as much of a crush on Darren, I would say!

Craig is the only judge who has Colin ahead of Zoe on aggregate throughout the series (marginally).

tututango, I did start I was ill in bed I read it wrong many appologies. but it dosen't change my view about Arlene.

Arlene may well fancy Colin (who could blame her...) but I don't think she's been marking him inappropriately at all.

Arlene and Craig tend to have a wider spread of marks than Len and Bruno, especially in giving very low marks to the poorer dancers, but there is a remarkable degree of concurrence between the judges on the overall ranking of the couples.

She should try taking off her HRT patch, I'm sure she would be able to concentrate more if she did, maybe an early night for Arlene, or is she thinking of an early night with Colin perhaps. hmmmm there go those hormones again

I hto be Honest he spends more time have a English Springer Spaniel as a Dog and his nick name is stinky as when ever we go for a walk he comes back stinky and soends more time in the bath than I do.
Tututango it's not so much Arlenes scoring of Colin and yes I am sure Colin is a fine looking chap, (my wife may have something more to say if i continue on that particular line of thought) it the comments that she makes to the other male celebs, a bit harsh I would say. thats my comment. p.s. i have just seen the richard and judy show, Karren really is a true star.

I agree that Arlene's judgement is seriously flawed - she makes no attempt to hide who she favours and might as well write down the marks before the dance!

Zoe and Colin can do no wrong, but Darren has to work his bottom off to get fewer marks than both of them!

Poor Bill, (my lovely, lovely Bill! who knows who I am as Claudia told him about me! ) and Will didn't stand a chance!

If Karen won't come back to dance, she should be THE female judge - her judgement is not flawed, unlike the over-HRT'd Phillips!
