Sorry, this response may sound like a telling off but I promise you it's not.

Alex has been whinging yes. But if you care to listen actively, it concerns many issues but especially how he is feeling now in week 8. Not only about the person that he has become but about perceptions from the outside World. One of the things that he said, which I thought was quite sad and gave me an insight into how he was feeling is:

It has taken me years to get to a stage of being happy, and I have been happy for years. Now I feel that I have gone back halfway down.

It seems that the idea of just how much scrutiny they are getting, having no privacy etc is now dawning and I believe that it was brought on by the amount of booing that Adele got from some very rude people. People should really realise that they are human beings with feelings and as a viewer you should expect to see the hi's and the lows. They cannot keep up a facade 24/7 just to entertain us. Are some of you seriously suggesting that Alex has no right to talk to someone about how he is feeling just so that you are entertained. They are human beings. Before you say 'ah yes, but they elected to go on the show' Yes they did, but they may not have anticipated just how difficult and how they will react in a given situation. So lighten up and give the guy a break!.

ps I am not a Jonny fan but when Jonny was down, I felt sorry for him, simply because I can imagine how horrible it is to be unhappy in there and you can't run away.

Unfortuately that will not happen. If Tim goes then Alex will simply change tactics (as he told Tim) and start clowning around with the others to look funny insteasd of the boring whinger he naturally is. Tim then told him that he (Alex) would win it for sure if he did that cos Alex would have the looks and be funny. How fake are these two?

ROFLMAO! Mel, you must have seen that on the tip of my tongue It's soooo obvious what Alex is doing. You just know he want's to be playing with the in-crowd - especially now that he's heard the 'Get Tim Out Chants' I think maybe he's finally sussed that ....erm....uh....maybe I've been hanging with the wrong 'sorts' after all.
I bet he starts drinking loads - you know, so's he can excuse any silly behaviour in front of Tim and especially if his parents are watching. As for the sofa fiasco!!.....what a desperate attempt for attention - it's like he's saying (yet again) to the public, 'Did you all get that there in the back row? That was a classic'. He should be on the stage allright - the one that left a week ago! He's a sham!

As much as I find Alex hilarious at times, he is such a weak person. Every thought he seems to have had in that house has been greatly influenced by the people he surrounds himself with.

I just find it hard to have much respect for the guy. The only reason he ended up giving Kate a chance was because of Adele telling him to.

They are all playing a game. They did enter a game show after all! In my opinion some people play it better than others. Alex is rubbish at playing the game in the sense that he doesn't keep his tactics close to his heart and we get to hear it. Others won't say it out loud but it doesn't mean that they are not doing the same thing. I remember Adele being criticised for saying in the DR ... my strategy is.. I remember thinking to myself you stupid girl, you shouldn't be saying that out loud because there are a whole load of viewers out there that seem to forget that it is a game show and will vote you out just for saying that.

I would expect people to have tactics to make it more interesting. If Alex has been using any strategy it's worked because he hasn't been evicted despite being up for eviction twice. The same goes for Jonny so they are both playing quite well. However, now that it is nearing the end, I imagine that it is getting more difficult to handle playing the game, especially the longer they have no feedback from the outside world as to how well they are doing. I think those that are playing the game should be applauded. Those that have left and didn't play the game, deserved to go.

Something Alex said earlier which I hadn't noticed is that 'everyone he got on well with have left. Everyone that he has argued with have stayed'. So everyone that is currently in the house have had arguments with each other at one stage or the other.

That would mean Alex's 'tactic' was to whinge. The other hm's just don't go around blabbing with the same gusto as Alex.

It is only a game show and SOME people should stop taking it so personally. Ok you maybe clever enough to suss out HM's tactics but that does that mean you should use that as an excuse to be cussing them out and talking about them as if you have known them for years. All these threads are speculation about what they have done and will do. We are in no way experts or mind readers.

All the housemates have moderated their behaviour so that they will appear to be more likeable by the public. None of them are behaving in their normal way.

So l am surprised to see some people being fanatical about the show, using the words 'hate' etc and cussing the parents of the housemates. That is just uncalled for.

Have some respect for yourself and for others. At the end of the day although they call the show reality tv it isn't. It is drama with real actors and if you allow yourself to be drawn into this illusion then you are not perceptive as you think you are.

Lacy I think you should remove yourself from this forum as your harrassment of anyone who dislikes Alex is offensive.

Alex's dad seems to have made more appearances on TV than any one elses parents (even jades mum)... Why can't I have an opinion on how he comes across? I've seen people give opinions on Jades mum.

I can't be the only one who finds him a bit of a, you know what.

His dad is not in the house with them. Ok he may have been on tv more than the other parents but he has appeared for varous reasons (he has been invited) or like to today, he probably asked to be on the show in order to defend his son against libel - Sunday people article about porno.

If my son was on a show and the press were publishing a load of crap about him l will fly down to the studio as fast as possible to counter all the bad publicity, especially if l suspect that it may damage his career when he leaves the show.

This is the natural response of any parent. So l don't see why you would see this as a reason to say rude things about him (Alex's dad)

Candy (btw I love the way you express your opinion) I was just going to raise the same point as above. It's the final phase, everyone is under pressure, and everyone is/will reevaluate their position inside and outside the house. It must be scary for them to contemplate to go out to the 'real world' after a long period of relative isolation. HMs now are bound to 'think' more than before, and talk more to their respective confident.

One interesting thing that Alex said to Tim, was that he only wants to win to stop them (Jonny or Kate) winning. Does he deserve to with that attitude?

BB3 and BBLB is rapidly turning into the Alex Sibley promotional show. Giving time over to Sibley snr to bleat about a newspaper story, how about giving a chance to the other HM's parents who have also been slandered in the papers?.

If his dad wants to be on TV spouting his opinions then everyone else is entitled to their own as well.

Anymore of Mr Sibley snr and he'll ruin his son's chances of winning the show. PJ's face said it all, he clearly thought who is this guy?

At one point I thought along with Sibley snr that HE was the etiquette expert, not the old dear next to him. Maybe he'll be taking over as presenter from Dermot on tomorrow nights show? Now that WOULD be funny.

No obviously it wouldn't be someone's tactic to whinge. No more so than it was Jonny's tactic to be morose for 3 weeks. As I said, they are human and cannot keep up a facade 24/7 and hide their feelings and/or feelings of confusion as in the case of Johnny who couldn't understand why he had been up for eviction once, let alone three times. I also said 'if Alex has a strategy'.... thereby implying that he may not have one. I am just assuming that they may have tactics since the objective of entering the show must be to win or become some sort of a celebrity.

I will admit though that I don't like to see Alex constantly discussing his unhappiness in the manner that he does with Tim and wish to see more of the Alex that I like. I'd like to see some of his defiance again.

Right now on the TV Alex is gossiping with Tim whilst Kate is doing the same thing with Johnny in the garden.

I just wish they could confront each other and air their problems as it is uncomfortable to watch. I don't think either clicque is better than the other in this respect.
Perhaps they're afraid of the repercussions in the house and/or of the viewers.

you can't compare the publicity that Jade has had with that of Alex.

I agree that they are both bad, but in the case of Jade they are talking about;

her looks
the bullying that she did at school - which the headmaster did not confirm or deny.

They are not statements or claims that Jade's mother can oppose or argue about. I'm sure that if she did have proof she too would be on tv arguing Jade's case.

With Alex it was a blatant exaggeration/misrepresentation of the truth and Alex's dad had a statement from the magazine who originally published the pictures and they said that The Sunday People stole the pictures and sensationalised them by saying it was porno when it clearly wasn't.

No because they want to show it on C4 and further they cause in making sure that Jonny wins, thus not showing Jonny when he moans regarding them.
