I'm disappointed

I think it's a shame that Colin and Erin are claiming they have been under marked, while Zoe and Ian have been over marked...

It happened in the first series as well... One of the professionals feel they have been treated unfairly and aim their animosity at another, normally the leading, couple...

In the first series it was Anton and Paul against Brendan.

I just think it's a shame and leaves a bitter taste...

To be honest, There has been times when Zoe has been overmarked and Colin has been undermarked.

But I also felt that Colins VW was overmarked this week. I thought that Darren, James' and Bill's performances from a few weeks ago were better.

I agree with the over mark, there is no way they deserved a 10 when there are so many littler errors, the huge gap between them... But I don't think Colin has been undermarked. To me there is always something lacking in his performance...

But then I think Darren was undermarked in the first week...

There does seem to be a distinct ability, amongst the judges to spot glaring faults with Zoe & Ian's performances, on ITT, but to completely ignore them, on the Saturday evening show, due to getting caught up in the fact that, as a couple, they do look so good together. This has happened even when Zoe told them she had made some, as she saw them, pretty bad mistakes.

Nobody could blame Zoe & Ian for this & I don't get the impression that this is what Colin & Erin were attempting to do with their comments on overmarking. It's probably that they, like many of the regular FP's, are getting fed up with this bias.

I think the idea that they have been undermarked comes back to something Patrick Swayze said yesterday; i.e. that it's a lot harder for the men to look good as they have to lead, whereas the male celebrity dancers will be much better at covering up the mistakes, but this doesn't seem to be reflected in the marks the male professionals are being given.

(I did notice that even Len admitted you could drive a bus between Zoe & Ian, during their tango, tonight. Perhaps this week he really will watch out for this; if they are doing another ballroom dance.)

Len does seem to spot the more glaring 'faults' and errors in technique and I'm sure will be watching the couple very closely over the next few weeks. However It is quite apparant to me that the other three judges do have their own favourites.

That said I love the show and will miss it and all the personalities when it concludes - thanks BBC for a marvellous show!

I was a bit put off Erin by her bitchy comments before about Zoe and Patsy. I know she wants to win but none of the other professionals find it neccessary to be bitchy about the celebrities. Lilia wants to win as well but you dont hear her making nasty comments, or Camilla, or Kate or Hanna nor any of the male pros.

If the judges decide to award high marks it is not the fault of the celebs or their pros. She should take it up with the judges. Ok so Zoe and Ian had faults, like gapping. Obviously the judges didnt notice, it is a very short time and they are viewing from a fixed point. They just went on the overall impression it gave, which was stunning. And that is not Zoe's fault. Then Erin had a nasty dig at Patsy and her quickstep. Yes it was full of faults but Anton manages to cover up pretty well for her!

Erin would do well to remember that the public get to see these little comments and it aint pretty!

I feel that Erin made a fair point and she like us is entittled to an opinion, I did not think she ment to be bitchy as she does not seem to be that type of person. Some of the judges are allowing themselves to be drawn in by the picture created by the dancing and as Zoe and Ian are tall they paint a very good picture in the Modern dance. Ian is also making a good job of covering up the errors, like the gaps etc which go un noticed at first and are maybe picked up on re runs as was the case with Anton's lift, this being after the marks are awarded. It is not as easy for the female to cover for the male and therefore I agree with Erin some over marking is taking place as is some under marking. The problem is the judges would need to sit down and watch re runs to get the marking more accurate as they could then watch the individual points in more detail. However time does not allow this
