Philips DVDR725H and NTL Teesside
I just received my Philips DVDR725H DVD recorder back from repair. It had been a "free of charge" repair picked up by courier and sent to the Philips centre in Croydon. It was supposed to be a 10 day turn around but it took nearly a month. It had a main board replaced and is now fine.
Anyway, I have been setting up my set box but don’t know the best options for NTL cable in Teesside. My initial choice was a PACE box on EXT 2. This morning I now have a further choice of NTL Bromley or NTL Langley. Neither seem appropriate but I have opted for Langley. Has anybody anything to add please. The other thing worthy of note is my Philips DVDR725H had reverted to a non multi-region player. I entered the hack info from Amazon and now it is ok. (I paid extra for this feature when I bought the set - obviousy ripped off - as a hack was all I needed). Can anybody tell me how to reverse this process if required. |

I just followed the instructions at http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...365488-0230033
1. Make sure no disc is in the tray 2. Press the disc menu on the remote control 3. Press play,1,5,9 (dashes will appear in the display) 4. press 1,2,1,2,1,2,0,0,5,2,5,5 5. Press play Amazon instruction says replace the 0 to a specific region if no multi-region requied. Doesn't seem clear to me as there is more than one 0. |
