Sometimes it is wrong when a couple leaves but that is what makes live TV exciting. This series the standard of dancing was so high that all the couples (maybe excepting Fiona) were capable of staying and trying their hands at the different dances... but if you think of previous years when we've had people like Quentin and David Dickinson... it's just cruel to keep them on live TV in front of millions of people when they are obviously struggling to the point it is embarrassing.. I imagine one or two weeks of trying the dancing is enough for them... and maybe us too! ”

I'm in favour of giving the 3 weeks before anyone goes as you really don't know if the first 2 eliminated would have got really good once they got over the nerves of the first 3 weeks. So back to 10 couples ...................

In the beginning Brucie irritated me with his interruptions. Also, that not all the judges got to have their say.

Now the infighting between the judges is doing my head in. I want to hear what their comments are, not listen to their screeching (in Arlene's case) arguments about whether one or other of them was correct in their comments.

I think the idea mooted about having them all stay in was a good one, but also agree with some of the reservations.

Maybe have them all in (however many there are) for say 3 or 4 weeks so we get a real taste of their dancing, then start to boot them off based on their cumulative scores?

And totally agree about the music - some of Patsy and Anton's stuff is really really dire, and it's difficult to actually see any connection with the music and the dance.

Part of the reason Arlene has to screech is because the others constantly talk over her.

You have a point. In the first series there was no exit week 1, so we got to see Jason & Kylie twice at least. Kylie was wicked, I want her back!!!!!!

Bruse irritates me, but I'm struggling to come up with someone else who could present it.

Press interest is spoiling it too. I'm strongly considering just not chatting about the show at all, therefore avoiding any one elses opinions and any press stories and just deciding for myself. I know I won't be able to keep it up though!

That's because, unfortunately, most of what she has to say is verbal diahorrea and personal insults!

Arlene is annoying me!! Craig's been a sweetie this series, I think his Thursday slot on ITT has done a lot for the audience to see where he's coming from. And he does seem really sweet when he's not sitting behind that desk!

Have to agree with whomever said about Bruce constantly talking over the judges and making ridiculous comments - I particularly find his 'you're my favourites' line grating - agghhhh shut up man!!!

Also, the stupid camera angles we get, I don't want to see the tops of the celebs heads when they are doing a fleckerl or just their facial expressions when they are doing a difficult piece of choreography. Please just concentrate on the whole dance and let us all see what the judges are talking about each week.

What annoys me the most about him is when he hurries the judges along on their comments becausse they're "running out of time" then proceeds to prattle on for the time it would have taken them to finish.....

Craig sweet and lovely maybe on ITT but on strictly he is more Soor Plums he certainly leaves a taste in the mouth of the celebs with his views...to be fair they are not as strange as Arleaning towards rude and Bruno (how does he judge Zoe and Ian so highly when their faults are so obvious?) who just leans towards Ian...

1. Bruce prattling on over the judges comments.
2. The judges interrupting each other, and no-one can hear what they are saying.

Were they not taught that it is good manners not to interrupt??!!

We can only be thankful that they haven't resorted to throwing water over each other.

Got to agree about Brucie talking over the judges.

Judging by the way CRH, Arlene and Bozo behave, I doubt very much that they were taught anything at all about good manners!

These are the things that spoil SCD for me:

1. The judges are biased towards certain couples, and seemed to have made their minds up about who they wanted to win even half way through the series, but I did agree with them this week that James should have gone.

2. Bruce constantly making rubbish jokes

3. How Craig RH is allowed to watch hours of training footage and then deciding before he's seen the couple even dance on Saturday night that they will be leaving (He did this to the lovely Bill and Karen.)

4. The judges seem to give the celebs that do actually have day jobs as well a particularly hard time even though they have had the least time to train. (Fiona, Bill and James)

Totally agree with you about the dire music chosen to accompany the dances. Those irritating vocalists!!

As you say, some of the music chosen doesn't even relate to the type of ballroom dance that it is accompanying. I think the reason that Zoe's and Ian's Tango received so much acclaim, amongst others, was that it was peformed to believable music. It was pure, strong tango rhythm without any vocalists spoiling it.

I haven't enjoyed mixing up the dances, I liked to know what the dances were each week, it made it easier for those of us who aren't dancers to compare and even learn a bit more about the dances during the week so we know what we were looking for - far too confusing

I also haven't liked the "whats to come" vids there are no adverts they could have used this time a bit better I think, heard from all the judges per dance rather than justn two in the early stages, if a couple hadn't done so great and got Arlene and Craig they must have felt like had been ripped to bits.

I have enjoyed the partnerships this year, in the main the dynamics between dancers and celebs has been excellent and the good humour between the couples they have all obviously got on this year.

It's Brucie and Tess for me, I'm sorry to say.

Both very nice people I'm sure and I have respect for them but they don't gel and Tess just looks uncomfortable most of the time. Bruce refuses to wear an earpiece which connects the presenters to the gallery, so it probably explains his mistakes alot of the time and then he has to rush through stuff.

So, all in all, I don't enjoy either of them on this show.

The judges and dancers are! but the X-Factor fans tend to be fans and not fanatics. The X-Factor forum is much better than this SCD forum imo. Not all pink and fluffy - they like to tell it like it is.

Saw Bruce on ITT last night .Seems nice guy but afraid new presenter needed. Bruce has too many opinions for a presenter and those terrible jokes when time is at a premium for judges' comments. Would love Ben Shepherd to present

Agree with Brendan. Judges should be objective, giving examples of what they mean, not saying who should go home

Love everything else especially the group dances, salsa and Argentine tango and really love professional demos. The freestyle last week was to die for!!

I agree; Ben Shepherd would be a really good choice. Anyone got any other ideas? Racking my brains here...there must be hundreds of ex dancers out there who have the charisma to carry it off? I mean Sue Barker went from being a tennis pro to presenting sports progs!

Sorry Bruce but I think your supporters are in the minority and most people find you very, VERY irritating!

I love Strictly. Saturdays will be woeful (to use an CRHism)without it and I'm taping everything. But please BBC bring in a different presenter next time who can arbitrate better and maybe stop the judges shouting one another down all the time. I quite like the judges actually - it's a shame Arlene and Craig sometimes feel the need to be so hurtful with their comments though.

Angela Rippon would add a certain level of elgant class. Might put Tess out of a job, though. To be honest, though, I'm warming to Brucie. He was fantastic on ITT last night. Why can't he carrry that across to the show?
