New hd TV Help which one
As my old toshiba tube bows out after 7 years I am forced to upgrade to a new lcd tv. I am looking at a 37 inch screen.
Currys sales rep have had me looking at the lg 37lz55 and the lg 37lz31 but it all a bit new to me and I dont want to get stung. I wasnt planning on an upgrade so any help would be welcome. £1000-2000 spending range and I will need to buy a 5.1 speaker set up to go with these new lcd tvs? So please help me out. Note I have a sreaming rug rat who wont give me a minute so I cant spend to long reading all the old threads. I am watching a 15 inch tv for the next week or two. Ps many thanks for the advice on the HD upgrade for my sky plus all working well with the new 200gb hd. |

I have just bought the 37lz31, there does not seem to be much between the 2 models. You can run a compare on the LG web site. Managed to get it for £1515 on the WWW, but it seems most places can't get it before xmas.
Going to buy the LG 9900 upscaling DVD, came across a small problem. DVD is HDMI, TV is DVI. Only found out today, that DVI is video only, even though LG manuals say it is video and audio. But after seeing HD demo in Currys, I think component and audio L&R is find for this TV. Both TV and DVD support higher resolutions through component. |
