Latin

5 - Colin
4 - Darren
3- Zoe
2 - Patsy
1 - James

(As I suspected the Samba just isn't James' thing. Little to chose between top 3)

American

4 - Colin
4 - Zoe
4 - Darren
2 - James
1 - Patsy

(again top 3 very close. James better than his first dance. Good lift, but too much Foxtrot and not enough showbiz. )

Overall James should go...he was the worst on the night, no doubt...but he was unfortunate with the dance he was given...over all the weeks Patsy has underperformed, so I hope she goes)

Latin:
Colin & Erin = 4 (Very good, but they just don't get me going, even if they connected with each other this week)
Darren & Lilia = 4 (Sorry, but I thought they were v. good & I thought, from the SCD book's guide, that his hands were fine)
James & Camilla = 3 (Far better than his performance last week)
Patsy & Anton = 2 (Good, she did still lose her place in the routine, but this is more forgiveablein a celeb)
Zoe & Ian = 1 (Ian actually got it wrong at one point & Zoe has to count on him to lead the dance)

American Smooth:

Darren & Lilia = 5 (Loved the way they moved perfectly in time with the music & actually managed to join hands just at the point where the lyric "Girl, when I hold your hand", came in the song)
Colin & Erin = 4 (Very stylish & elegant but, again, they just don't excite me when they're dancing)
Patsy & Anton = 3 (Fred & Ginger moment; in that it did look just like a remake of one of their dance routines- not complaining BTW)
James & Camilla = 2 (I definitley think he's better suited to ballroom than latin & I actually liked the lift)
Zoe & Ian = 2 (Yes, they waltzed, but I thought the others did a better job of the actul dancing)

La Rhumba
04-12-2005
On first viewing only [I'll prob change me mind later].

Latin:

5 - Colin & Erin - The clear winners of both dances tonight, their best week by far, "Beautiful" worked incredibly well for a Rhumba, and CHEMISTRY at last between them! Blimey! Erin choreo's a good Latin routine!

4 - Darren & Lilia - Even when their routine is not 100% special, they still ooze charisma and rapport. I'm sure the constant nagging at Darren about his hands made him a bit self-conscious today, poor pumpkin.

3 - Zoe & Ian - Did not like the routine at all, choreo was poor and quite dull, was the music really Cha Cha? Zoe STILL has hunched shoulders in the Latin, and her hands are the same whether in Latin or Ballroom when dancing steps alone - no variation or adaption to a different style - nit-picky, I know, she's not a professional.

2 - James & Camilla - In the uptempo Latin, Camilla ALWAYS choreographs too much for herself IMO, okay it's her forte as a Pro, but it's the same for whichever celeb she's dancing with, she does most of the steps, whilst they stand around looking awkward. Though in fairness to James, the criticism of him was harsh, he wasn't THAT bad, he did his best and had a go, credit to him.....

1 - Patsy & Anton - ......Unlike Patsy in the Jive! EEK! x a million at the HIDEOUS choreo - Anton's worst ever! Dull dull dull. She's hysterical though, and I was tres sorry to see her leave.......and him.

American Smooth:

5 - Colin & Erin - The runaway leaders tonight! Fabulous routine, Erin was inspired [for a change. ] Colin's face was totally alight, and he pulled out all the stops, though the final lift looked a teensy bit off balance, but hey, I'm nit-picking again, the *performance* was there, twice tonight, but only one 10, deserved more IMO.

4 - Patsy & Anton - Aaaaah, the two Ballroom Meisters had the best choreographic ideas tonight for sure, leaving the Latin Pros languishing! Not perfect, but tres enjoyable nonetheless, really captured that Hollywood Movie Musical feel for me. Patsy's forte, by far. LOL at her suffering from CRAFT's Disease!!!!!!!!!!! She's a scream! So off the cuff, [as opposed to *pre-prepared statement Zoe* who has to always get the last word in every week, give it a rest already! Can't she STOP being a TV presenter for 5 mins - she's a *contestant* on this!]
Anton was SO in his element, as smooth and inspired as he was uncomfortable and stiff in the Jive.

3 - Zoe & Ian - Was it an American Smooth or just a beautiful dance? The style confused me, as to what we've been told about this new dance? There's no doubt that Zoe & Ian do light and frothy beautifully - so soft, so dreamy - but the Judges didn't DARE put this dance above Colin & Erin tonight...... the marking was close though!

2 - James & Camilla - He has great Foxtrot style going backwards, so light and secure on his toes, plus a spectacular lift! Okay she's the size of a twig, but I loved the turns, then straight up into a high lift, above his shoulders, well done! The slating of Cam's choreo wasn't deserved on this, and she looked thoroughly cheesed off and hurt, poor luv.

1 - Darren & Lilia - Much as I love them and support them to get to the Final, I'm afraid this was one modern tune too many. Awful! Totally ruined the dance, for me. With all those great 40s and 50s tunes, why choose a fluffy pop song, then wear Ballroom evening clothes to interpret it? The music marred my ability to appreciate their routine fully, but from what I could see, once I'd recovered from the shock to my ear drums, it looked a gorgeous dance, great choreo, style, and panache as usual. I'll have to watch it again, but sorry to unleash my backlash on my fave couple, but I just can't bear the mis-match music choices that have been prevalent this series! Who is responsible?? We should be told asap!
Oooooh, I still LOVE Dazza and Lilia though.

Latin
Darren and Lilia = 5 - really good, showed the chemistry between them
Colin and Erin = 4 more genuine and less technical
Patsy and Anton = 3 they were having fun, but I think Anton was probably restrained in his choreography by Patsy's CRAFT Disease (that was truly brilliant - was it her's or his idea?)
Zoe and Ian =2 - they just didn't sparkle, bless 'em
James and Camilla = 1 although to be honest it didn't deserve it. Painful to watch
