Someone on the live show thread (post is here, by the way) reckons Zoe must have got the least public votes, because she dropped from second place down to the bottom two.

I'm really sad that Patsy and Anton are out - they weren't the best couple in terms of technique in the competition, but they certainly weren't the worst on the night (James and Camilla, I'm looking in your direction). And most of all, it was fun to watch them. Whilst their departure wasn't a total surprise, it's still really really disappointing

This is the first week that Zoe and Ian's public vote has really been tested. But I have to say I was shocked she was in the bottom two. That may well count in her favour though for the next couple of weeks when people realise that they need to vote for her if they want her to stay in.

Darren and Lilia to win !

I feel for you. But it's probably my fault.

I think that for us to have got the result we did Ian and Zoe had to come last in the public vote, Patsy and Anton second to last, Lilia and Darren or Colin and Erin eithet came third or first and James and Camilla second.

Well it's clear to see now. James is not in the same league as Colin, Darren and Zoe, so why vote for him? Let's have a real top notch final and not have a repeat of the Clary/Parker debacle.

Zoe and Patsy definatley got the lest public votes, but Zoe didn't necarserily (I really can't spell that!) get the least. I believe Darren got the most, then James, then Colin. Or James, Darren then Colin.

However it happened, it's all wrong. Although I'm partially to blame for James's massivly high score.

Darren or Colin to win now!

I am gobsmacked and shocked and stunned, that should not have happened tonight, James shouldnt have got through on people voting for his good looks, he and camilla were the worst tonight and Patsy and Anton were much better.
Also Ian and Zoe should not have been in the bottom two that was ridiculous. There has been a backlash about them, yes they werent as good as usual but they were still pretty good and far better than james esp in the American Slow. Perhaps if big mouth Arlene would keep her mouth shut the hormone brigade would learn to vote on merit not lust.

It is well known that I adore Ian and Anton but I certainly wouldnt vote for them because of that. I vote on how good they were on the night, how entertaining, how high the standard has been raised. I know little about dancing but I can tell when someone is good or not, or has made mistakes.

Can I also say huge respect and Kudos to Ian for being the perfect gentleman and true professional tonight, he supported Zoe (and she didnt milk the cold thing, no doubt if she'd bowed out people would complain, but like them all she got up and got out there and did her best) he also looked very moved and sad at Anton and Patsy going and was one of the first to go to them at the final dance. Commendable to think of others first when you've had the shock of being on the bottom two when you shouldnt have been.

Enough Ive said my bit, still in shock.

Sorry but IMHO Zoe DID milk the cold/flu thing!

She and Ian were in the bottom 2 and James and Camilla got through 'cos the public can see through the judges biased voting...

When the judges start MARKING objectively - the public might start VOTING objectively and not voting for the ones the judges start slating....

AND NO WAY were Z&I as close to Colin & Erin tonight as the judges put them....Colin and Erin deserved MUCH higher marks than ANY of the others tonight - they were just SUPERB!

PS Sorry that Patsy and Anton went -.....

It's nearly an hour since the program ended and it's taken me this time to absorb tonights shock result. I voted for Patsy and Anton. I liked their lighthearted dance routines, and the fact that Patsy could always pull one out of the bag. They were way better than James and Camilla tonight. I'll miss them.

I agree - I don't think the judges were really marking this weeks performace for Zoe and Ian - expecially in the Cha Cha Cha as that didn't deserve the high marks that they got .

If James had done that exact same dance like that I doubt he wouldn't have got the score that Zoe got.

Carol, please remember that what we see is a highly edited BBC version of training. The producers are looking for drama and upset.

I had flu a couple of weeks ago and it's no laughing matter, I could hardly get out of bed to phone work.

Flu is no laughing matter. But what Zoe probably had was a heavy cold. And sorry, she was making a meal of it. That, coupled with the ridiculously biased voting of Bruno T (I mean, 9 for that Cha cha cha - PAH!) meant there was a distinct lack of public sympathy/support.

I was actually quite excited that Zoe and ian were in the bottom two... ooops? And I threw comething at the TV wehn they came on... my hand slipped?

Is it me, or are the results getting more and more emotional? Kaen made me cry last week, and I almost did tonight also. Its sad, no-one should go.

Isn't it daft, I was upset tonight........ if the judges were more constructive and less cruel, then the public votes would be less biased.

It is a brilliant show, pure family entertainment, I think that Colin and Erin will win, but Darren and Lilia will be close.

My opinions on SCD are these.

I felt sorry for Zoe as she must have felt awful but look at the courage she picked up to actually go through with last night's SCD. Ian and Zoe being in the bottom two was a shock and they shouldn't have been there. I am glad that they got back into the Semi Final. My rant is that Zoe did not milk her illness and what a gentleman Ian is looking after her the way he has. I wouldn't be surprised if he will be the next one to go down with the cold/flu.

I am absolutely gutted that Patsy and Anton were voted out. They should have gone through to the Semi Final on the American Smooth alone. Anton looked gutted as yet again the Semi Final has eluded him. I have liked the partnership from the begiining as Patsy and Anton are very compatible From week to week Patsy has improved. It is such a shame.

I can't believe that James and Camilla are once again safely voted in. The samba looked wooden. Where were all the samba turns and there was no carnival feel to it at all. As for the American Smooth (a dance that I hope will be included in next series) all I could see was the Foxtrot. It looked to me that James didn't want to let go of Camilla as they hardly broke away at all. James looked quite surprised to be back in the running.

My choice of fianalists and winners are

1. Zoe and Ian
2. Erin and Colin
3. Darren and Lillia

I hate the fact James and Camilla have been saved. I've said this on atleast 3 or 4 threads now. Whoever wanted James and Camilla to stay should be ashamed!!!! But as I hate Colin personally and can't stand the guy, unfourtunatly I think James and Camilla should stay in and Colin should go!!!! BUT FEEL ASHAMED FOR YOU VOTED OUT THE DU BEKE AND THAT IS THE WORST MISTAKE YOU EVER MADE.

I was always a James supporter along with Darren but after last night I decided I couldn't just want him to get through because I liked him I had to want him to get through because he was good and he wasn't that good. I think the vote was wrong. Arlene should just keep quiet as I think she swayed some votes. I think the public need to start voting for the best dancers. Patsy and Anton shouldn't have gone as they were great craic, I'll miss the two of them.

And did anyone notice that Patsy was the only one to ever mention the charity aspect of the show, she was so lovely at the end. I really think she's got her priorities right and I will miss her and Anton they were a great couple!

I agree, Patsy did get her priorities right and was very gracious. They were a great couple and it is outrageous that James got through. Let's hope people vote for the best dancers next week, not who they fancy.

As for hating Colin, you're entitled to your view but IMO he was the best on the night and deserves to be in the final

Glad I'm not the only weeping wreck left devastated by the loss of Anton. Dear me I'm meant to be a grown up! I think it's probably that we get to see so few men these days that are charming and gracious and elegant - so few gentlemen - and Anton is undoubtedly one of those! His support of Patsy was so chivalrous - think he must have been a "genteel knight" in a former life! As for the "sad middle aged women voting for James" thing I'd agree - if I hadn't been a sad middle aged woman voting for Anton! (mind you, there's no comparison, talent-wise, is there? So I'll let myself off on that one!

Colin is an exceptional dancer.
What is this personal hatred?

Oh it's just something he said when he came down to our competition down here and a coment he made on me and my friend in the hurdles and the javaline. Plus I just can't stand him, but that's me, I love Brendan and Anton, I have no place in my heart for Colin.

Try, as hard as you might find it, to be objective.
