As I have said before, a part of this show is to provide money for C.I.N. The vehicle the BBC have used to produce that money is a DANCE COMP (of sorts). If all that is wanted is to raise money for children in need by voting for your favourite celebs, why not just have a show each week where the cameras have spent a day in the life of <name of celeb>.... then show highlights of each celeb on a Saturday and let the public spend their money voting for their favourite personality?
As it happens, I do not think the current form of losing a person every week is the best way of making money for CIN. Sure, there will be some people who, having lost their favourite, will vote for someone else, but I bet there are a lot of people not phoning up now because their favourite has left the show.
First and foremeost, this is a DANCE show, therefore the voting should be restricted to who performs best on the night, or who has collectively performed best over all the dances. Even CRH said on ITT tonight that he hopes the public do not turn it into another personality show.
