These two seemed to be getting on famously last week until that is Jonnie decided to stick his nose in by saying he thought there was something going on between the two of them and that Kate fancied Alex.

Since then Kate has withdrawn form Alex and there has been none of the shenanigans between these two, obviously Jonnie saw this blossoming friendship as a threat and nipped it in the bud very quickly.

Sure I don't like Jonny but boy, this fool is desperate to win!!!!!!

Am I wrong here??

I noticed that too.

At first it was annoying now i find myself wanting to punch the screen as everytimg someone good happens, for example some flirting between these two or a juicy competition he comes butting in 'whey i whats goin on in ere like'

It was pretty obvious that Jonny was afraid that Kate was getting close to Alex. If he had just left it Alex would probably not be up for eviction. Plus Alex would not be in such a grumpy mood.

It's also pretty safe to say that by breaking the two of them up Jonny has maintained a tense environment in the house, while taking the focus off of Kate and Alex, thus ensuring his mindless antics are being covered by the idiotic production crew of BB.

Jonny is jealous of Alex and the attention he recieves from Kate. Kate looks at Jonny in a different light to Alex and he doesn't like it one little bit.

Jonny has confessed to fancying Kate, but these feelings have not been reciprocated so he's resorted to the old 'If I can't have her no one can' scenario.

It's embarrasing to watch at times, Alex and Kate are enjoying a quiet moment together and suddenly there's Kate shadow lurking in the background. "Wot aw yoos two up to?". He can't leave them alone for a second without his twisted little mind going into overdrive. Let's hope his fiance has spotted this and gives him the bollocking he deserves.

Jonny had been working his evil magic all week .. putting into the minds of Kate and Jade, “well, it looks like its them two against us two, with you jade in the middle” .. You have to give Jonny credit, he certainly knows how to manipulate both the gullible public and the housemates..

In fairness, Kate's a big girl and if she wanted to spend genuine time with Alex, she could tell Jonny to go away...

emzi restalez - "Kate's a big girl"

Why is it, after every conversation Alex and kate have had over the past week, Kate has felt the need to run to Jonny and repeat virtually every word?

Seems this Big Girl doesn't have a mind of her own. Must report back to the master.

Kate is an impressionable girl. Jonny makes it clear that Alex isn't part of their group.

Yes she is a big girl but she also puts a lot of weight into what Jonny says.

I also wonder why C4 highlights have never shown when Jonny has intervened, especially the time last Thursday when Jonny, PJ and Tim 'ganged up' on Kate, accusing her of fancying Alex etc, etc. Her embarrassment was clear. This was a strong signal, most especially from surrogate-daddy Jonny, that a 'relationship' with the difficult maverick Alex-character was unacceptable. Even the C4 web site stories hide the true nature of Jonny's determination to stifle any friendship Kate may have with others. He doesn't mind Jade (because girls don't win BB!) as Kate's friend, but wants to keep Kate as the foil to his comedy act. C4 has been determined to show Alex sinking into misery for no apparent reason than poison Tim. This is simply not true. Alex has got more depressed since he realised the power of Jonny in the house and how he can't even close to Kate without his tacit permission. Kate is too weak to befriend Alex herself and sides where she sees popularity. No wonder Alex has had enough.

It's about time C4 starting editing the real face of Jonny, as the jealous, scheming, insecure, slimey little imposter which he is!

You havn't heard nominations yet!!!!!!!
COULD TIM of voted Alex and Kate to cause some mayhem
Not saying its true as I'm not counting my chickens until tonight like some ppl

I don't think the problem was a one-sided withdrawal but Tim's snooping on "follow the van" followed by the somewhat distasteful and purient quizzing of Kate by the lads (and no I wasn't impressed by Jonny's part in that!). Both Kate and Alex were embarrassed and IMHO mutually stood back.

If it weren't for interference of Jonny on the one hand and Tim on the other I think Kate and Alex could have had a reasonable relationship. They were never going to be best buddies but Alex could have provided a more sensible alternative to Kate spending nearly all her time with Jonny. This is a shame as I think both of them would have come across as the more rounded characters I believe they are.

I don't think, however, that it's simply a matter of weakness or calculation on Kate's part. She genuinely likes Jonny and enjoys the games. You may decide to sneer at that (and frankly I'm not too chuffed at some of the antics myself) but I don't think the motivation is suspect.

For Alex though the last week has been a disaster. I feel sorry for him in his almost total isolation - after all let's face it none of us would really want to spend time with Tim - but I don't see how things are going to improve.

You're not wrong!

This afternoon Kate has gone back to Don Jonny and reported word for word what Alex has told her, how he feels he's had enough and within minutes...

Jonny turns it onto him. 'oh he doesn't like me, how can he not like me I've done every thing to get on with him, me, me, me, me, me'

Jonny's so close to the £70k he looks like he's going to explode - he's up against two girls, that's upped his confidence as he knows a woman's never won. I think he's actually bricking it that Alex does get evicted or walks and tells the world what an ignoramus Jonny is.

The man is really starting to get to me, so I can understand why Alex wants to walk.

If Jonny wants to know why Alex doesn't like him, well for starters he has the table manners of a pig, the humour of a pre-pubscent school boy, if wit were sh*t he'd be constipated, he's had no life experience, hasn't even attempted to learn anything more about the world than where the local pub is and baccy supply, he's a desperate, over-acting, self-obsessed, self-important, small town mentality with the intellect of a dried pea, manipulative wannabe.

sorry, just had to let that out my system

That Jonny is always trying to ruin Alex's chances with getting along with Kate. He has to stick hIs nose in at every given opportunity.

Dearie Me!

It's funny how all of a sudden some people are upset about Kate prefering Jonny over Alex. I mean, it was always obvious to me that Kate was and is the only woman in the BB house that Alex is interested in. However, I clearly remember reading some posts on here ...oh, just a couple of weeks ago when it was all .. 'Kate! with her stupid girly crying face... Kate is a sl*** ... nasty Kate! Anyone who'd fancy Kate must like 'young' girls' Annnd, how sweet! Alex and Adele, don't they make a lovely couple!

Then last week, when Kate and Alex were getting all up-close-and-personal, all the threads were full of.....'Alex and Kate, is this the new romance? It's so nice to see them together'
(You can see where I'm going with this, can't you?).....it's sooo nice Alex and Kate have put their differences behind them...they make such a nice couple'....blah-di-blah

Give me a BIG breake!!!!
I suppose we can NOW expect to see threads on this forum full of......'Yeah, always said Kate was a flirt and manipulator'
Reading some peoples' views on this forum it would seem that Kate is only acceptable when she's all friendly with Alex...NOT acceptable when she's all friendly with Jonny. What's it to be folks?
Dr Dave

Since you're so kind as to ask I'd quite like her to be free to get on with both Alex and Jonny in a reasonable rational manner.

It would also be quite nice if people were to stop trying to make out that whichever guy they don't happen to support is a heinous jealous git desperate to get into her knickers and/or avoid nomination while their chap is the embodiment of sweet reason and/or a bringer of joy to the world.

What are my chances? Less than zero!

Yeah, whatever. Is that why Kate keeps nominating Alex every week? She has played him like a mug because she is smart and he is not. She will always be loyal to Jonny. She has never liked Alex and was just giving him a taste of his own medicine. ALEX OUT !!!

When has Kate said that she fancied Alex. Yes, in the first week she admitted that he was the one that she would like to get naked with, but since then has been totally turned off by his personality. She has said on many occasions that the only person in the house she has fancied was Spencer.

Did I say that Kate said she fancied him? No. I said she does fancy him. She doesn't have to broadcast the fact, it seems obvious to me.

Didn't she say that she has been totally "turned off by his personality" when she was being cross examined by Tim, Jonny & PJ about fancying Alex, this is also the time that she denied playing the 'van game' .

It is said people show their true colours when they've had a drink because they lose their inhibitions, this is confirmed when Kate gets close to Alex when they have both been drinking.
