Bravo Ian

I make no apologies for this, I just want to salute Ian waite for being a complete gentleman and professional tonight. At all times he stood up for Zoe and when Anton and Patsy were announced as leaving he (they) both immediatley clapped them and didnt congratulate each other for getting through. The end of the results show was very moving and indeed I commend all concerned for showing such care towards Patsy and Anton. Many of the Pro's and celebs were close to tears if not in tears and Ian looked after Zoe while also going almost immediately to console Patsy and Anton.
An all round decent, kind, caring human being.

I am saying this because while I do adore him, I have seen tonight another side to him which makes me admire him more than just for his dancing and his body He showed true grit and humility in the face of what could have been an awful result for them.

Ian I applaud you.

I was impressed to hear Ian admit that he made a mistake in the ccc. Can't imagine some of the other pros doing that.

Did he??? Do you mean with the choreography or the actual dancing?

The actual dancing. Can't remember the specifics but I remember being pleasantly surprised by him admitting it.

I think it was when one of the judges mentioned that Zoe kicked him at one point and he said that he was the one who was in the wrong place. I did think that was very honest of him to point that out.

Actually, Zoe said that he went wrong!! I didn't notice though so it's all good!!!!!

I think I have already said many times that Ian is a star. He jumped to Zoe's defence straight away I dont think I have seen him look so angry with the judges before he is such a gentle person.

He went straight to Patsy and Anton at the end, that was nice to see.

I noticed on other threads people bashing Zoe again. She couldnt help having flu. If any of you lot had flu you would be in bed demanding sympathy not dancing in front of millions. She did not moan as much as Bill. That went on for ever and ever and got so boring. Watching the clips I cant see what he actually did there. Twisted it a bit then had an alleregic reation to the strapping! Agreed the reaction looked horrible but that was it! he certainly played it up!

Ah .. sorry (and it's not Zoe bashing, honestly) but when Ian said that he had gone wrong in the ccc and that's why Zoe had kicked him, I just assumed he was doing the gentlemanly thing again by taking the blame if you see what I mean (as in it was Zoe that had gone wrong and kicked him but he was too kind to say!)

I wouldn't have expected anything less of Ian, to be honest. He's a decent bloke and very supportive of his partner - and I expect he has a humungous guilt complex over being hard on Zoe the day before she became ill.

he is a gentelman however if he admits that he as a professional is in the wrong place how on earth does that justify getting a 9 from bruno? not exactly fair on everyone else is it?

ITA, I thought Ian looked a bit het up and got annoyed at Len after his Cha Cha comments about the choreography - it's practically the first time for weeks a word of criticism has been offered by the Judges for them, so I think Ian's reaction was OTT. He also looked like he was ready to burst into tears at the end of the comments before going backstage. I thought for the first time the pressure looked like it was getting to Ian, as Colin & Erin had received universal praise before them. This is not Ian bashing, as I love Ian, but you can still admire someone and see their faults - no-one is perfect ALL the time.

This is my first post here and as my fave pro is Ian I thought this would be a good a place to start as any. On another thread somewhere I saw someone had posted that 'Ian and Camilla didn't compete last night'....where would this be - does anyone know? I am obviously not looking in the right places because I would love to go and see them live. However living in Devon I think I'm probably miles from anywhere they would perform.

Any tips for where to look, anyone?

Thanks!
