Stop the Clock or Free Evening calls
Which network do you think has the best deal, Vodafone Stop the Clock or Orange Free Evening calls?
Are the first 3 minutes on Voda charged at peak or off peak? |

And I would say that the Vodafone deal is the best because it includes cross network calls whereas Orange doesn't - though its really down to what type of numbers you call the most

![]() I think Orange should make it clearer that the free calls are to Orange handsets only. I'm pretty sure it doesn't even include landlines. So in the grand scale of things it isn't that great a deal (compared to the big old timers) |

And another thing. To enjoy the free evening calls to Orange you need to top up at least £10 a month.... On Vodaphone's "Stop The Clock" you really do not need to do that. 15p for an hour phone call to a landline or other VF phone is a bargain by any standards.
I made sure my girlfriend too the "Stop The Clock Offer". I have it on my contract, and now she's got no reason to phone me for longer as well! lol Mark

Vodafone does look better although there are no free texts.
so,10 hours yakking would cost £1.50 10 hours on orange and you've used all your allowance for that month If you're contacts are all on Orange phones then you're ok although I can see my balance climbing up to dizzy levels as the months go by. The main problem with these deals that come along, is that, to profit from them you need to keep switching network - which is a pain |

Mark . The only reason I went on Orange was because they had the Samsung Z107 for £49. Vodafone only had some cheap plasticy no name handsets at this price. If they had the SE K520i in stock I would have quite happily paid that bit more to join Vodafone. Never mind I'll probably have my new handset tomorrow.

No need to buy a sim, free sim pack offer on their website at the moment, so as long as your phone is not locked to another network you will be ok.
