Ive just had the latest bill through the door and T mobile have removed the free voicemail that was part of the original contract with 1-2-1 (along with a coupe of other freebies)

Whilst Im a bit peeved that part of the free for life contract has been compromised, this thread is to check what monthly bills people get from other networks so that I may check on the advantages of dropping this service and picking up another

My monthly charge works out at about £30 and calls after 7 and weekends to local (inside M25) numbers are free, Daytime use is kept to about two hours a month and works out at about a tenner.

What do others pay on both PAYG and standard mobile contracts for seven hour per month useage on their mobile (to land lines)
Thanks

You might have better luck in the Mobile Telephony forum.

Oh I got yer!

This bloke must be T-Mobiles oldest customer ! I bet he's got an old Ericsson PF768.

I wonder if he pays an extra pound to get text messaging service? Ah memories....

He deserves a medal.

Didn't the extra pound charge get lifted for everyone when on-net texts went from 4p each to 5p each I remember that too...

To the OP - for that sort of usage, IMO your best bet (on pay and go anyway) would be Vodafone with a 200 minute calls bundle and Stop The Clock... with that you'd be paying about the same as you do now, if not less, and your off peak calls would be national not just local

Thanks lostboy, and yes 10bellies, it was a mispost. I had two threads on the go at the same time.

@dreamypuma, I had a really basic phone at the beginning, AEG I think, with a range of 30 ft. The service has been running for nearly 9 years.

and Ive just got home to find I missed the last episode of Rocket Man (and they dont repeat this one), how did it end ?

I may repost this one in TV programmes is I get a chance

30ft!! Was that like a "Rabbit" phone or something?

(By the way I don't watch Rocket man, but I think someone got up the duff)

No , it only seemed to work for the first hour or so , then the range would get reduced considerably

Still picking out the tumour from the ear canal

Voicemail is still free on my old T-Mobile tarrif (or at least it was on the last bill!)

Let's hope they don't do an Orange on you and switch you to a rubbish modern plan! (Why do mobile phone tarrifs get worse vfm every year?). It's also annoying the sods have the cheek to charge you for voicemail calls when on T-Mobile CZ...
