Just to note the fact that Patsy set a great example by being such a gracious loser - managing to thank Anton properly and mention CIN, and say thank you for the whole experience. She came over so well, I really warmed to her.

Yeah she was very gracious. To be honest I wasn't expecting her to take it quite so well so all credit to her, and Anton.

She most certainly was. Gracious and warm, I'm sorry to see her go.

You're very right vodachick. I think she showed us the spirit that the competition should be viewed in. It's Saturday night entertainment, we're supposed to be enjoying the show. I am worried about coming across as preachy but I think we should all be led by her example and yes some of us may have opinions about James, Zoe, the judges etc, but let's all be like Patsy and be gracious about the result.

I also totally agree with her comment that we need more of these types of entertainment shows on the TV at the weekend.

Aww, she was. Bless her! I didn't want any of them to go!!!!!

I think she's about the only celeb that made me cry by what she said, Karen made me cry and Brendan made me cry because I didn't want him to go, but Patsy she was just lovely and it's such a shame she had to go because I think she was about the only one that was enjoying herself and remembering it was for charity whereas some of the others it was about winning.

I felt that Patsy's remarks about the need for more Saturday night entertainment like SCD and acknowledging Anton's hard work were well made. A classy gesture from someone who genuinely enjoyed this experience.

I think it shows how much she's grown through the experience - it's a pity she had to go just at the time when she seemed to be getting into her stride. The competition will be poorer without her, but I'm just so glad she put into the spotlight the whole point of it all - Children in Need - and gave Anton the credit he deserves.

I think Patsy's comments put the show into perspective - it's about entertainment and raising money for CIN.

I think we could all do with remembering that!

It's nice to see Anton getting some credit. I sort of missed it though as I'd gone out of the room in a huff that they were out but I managed to see the very last little bit! It's certainly put Patsy in a good light because nothing she says ever sounds scripted or contrived, as you all know she finds it hard to keep her mouth shut at times

I've liked Patsy all through, and I've never watched Eastenders, and didn't expect to like her.

She's done herself a power of good as an entertainer, shown that she'd be great to work with - so let's see more of her on TV.

I really miss that family-viewing all round entertainment show on a Saturday tea time. Ant and Dec have tried, but it really needs something totally new, something genuine and wholesome, like the Generation Game used to be but a new formula, and Patsy would be the perfect kind of personality to be involved....

Planners - over to you!

I think Patsy summed up one of the main reasons for SCD's success quite eloquently.

It is proper family entertainment & we need more of it.

Well done to her for doing so.

yeah more gracious then Zoe would have been, all Zoe said was if I go out I will cry for a week. I thought Patsy's goodbye speech was lovely

Zoe seemed more concerned for Patsy than herself at the end - she and Ian went to comfort them immediately. I hope we won't have to find out how Zoe would be if she were voted out as I want her to get to the final.

I think Patsy and Anton were what the programme is all about and they always smiled and looked like they genuinely had a good time together. I loved Patsy's little mistakes, especially when she'd disguise them with her 'mum dancing'! And hasn't she got the best legs?

Lovely fun couple, they'll be missed.

some people take every opportunity to have a pop at zoe

how do you know how she'd have behaved? on evidence, she's the one who asks for votes for others (the only one if i recall).

i really can't understand all this bitchiness towards another female

Thats what I would like to know. There are some real bitchy people on this forum. Not very nice at all. If you dont like someone there is always the option to say nothing at all or start a thread on your favourite.
This is a show to entertain the family and raise money for a good cause.
Try thinking about the saying. If you cant say anything good about someone then its best to say nothing at all.

I agree with you Elizabethjo and V

This is television not real life, it's for charity and we are supposed to be enjoying it. I don't really mind who makes the final I just love watching the dancing and having a chat on here with others who also love the show.

Wonderful tribute to Anton, as usual his partner seems to have fallen for him (in the nicest grown up and not sordid manner). And it was brilliant of her to say that there should be more entertainment like SCD on tv. Which I have thought for ages.

Had to post here because her manner of exit, was so classy (a word that crops up here a lot because it fits so well).

It's not about how you look or sound, but the way you carry yourself. She paid tribute to Anton and the programme, seemed to really take the programme and challenge in the spirit intended and used her primetime to make a plea for more shows like SCD. Admittedly she's preaching to the converted, but she only echoed what all of us think.

I'm sad to see her go, and fo course Anton, but, well done to them for getting to the quarter finals in what has been a very high-quality and competitive and highly entertaining series

Well done Patsy and Anton; it's been a pleasure to see you on SCD, and your gracious farewell speech on Saturday night proved you were there for all the right reasons.

it just shows how brilliant she was and that she should still be in the competiton!!!!!!!!!!!
