Feeling distinctly uneasy with James' 'aggression'

I know what you mean. It's getting to the point where every little nuance of the participants' actions or words are being interpretted as having some special; normally nasty & aimed at someone else in the competition, significance & then a total war will break out between the supporters of either party.

This whole thread started of on a bad note; with what seems to have been a deliberately inflamatory post, & hasn't really managed at any point to get away from a scenario in which one poster defends the celebrity & another has a go at them.

Perhaps people need to stand back & think about the fact that this thread was started by a fairly new member (only joined recently & has made just 9 posts), appears to have been intended to get just the sort of reaction from the FP's that it has &, by the other contributions has succeeded in its initial aims?

How come everyone thinks he's a gentleman? And why am I expecting to see Camilla with a black-eye next week?”

James is not my favourite...but this last sentence beggars belief and is potentially libellous.

I totally agree Boho, that last sentence is well out of order

It didn't take long, lovely peeps, before you could hear the clashing of the steel, the sharpening of the knives.

Lets try to understand that, it appears, as already posted, that James wasn't the forum's choice to go through to the semi's, many have posted that in their fully considered opinion that James should have gone and not Anton & Patsy. It should be taken into consideration too that half of the points in the final position were down to the large fan base that James Martin has. Please be aware that 99% of the people who voted for James were fully compos mentis. voted using their fingers on the keypad and NOT governed by hormones. The other 1%, who knows? The guy's gorgeous and every vote earned the charity 12p/

James and Camilla have been very guilty of vote canvassing, but, please, did all those people in the audience at the Good Food Show really just go to see James because of SCD and the odd chance that Camilla may appear?

The Lady Boz is a fan of James but I also go and post on other threads and congratulate a certain runner for doing so well.

Don't take the negativity to heart, the man has done very well and Good Luck to him, he was written off quite a few weeks ago by the forum and the judges!!

In addition to being aggressive, arrogant and unattractive, his punching the air is also a presumptuous and premature action. Get a grip, James.”

Darren gough punches the air.

They are pleased to have finished that dance or got through the episode.

It's not aggression

This really is a pointless nasty thread talking utter rubbish

At last, some other FP's have spotted this.

Shall we all agree that we differ sometimes? I've opened a bottle of sherbert so please help yourselves to a drink and then shall we leave this thread to sink? Last one out, do the dishes and switch the lights off please.

Ummmmmm Lady Boz, if people want to state their opinions and (dis)agree with mine, why can't they?

There is something in James' eyes and demeanour when he is 'upset' which I find disturbing.

I said nothing libellous.

If people choose to ignore or disagree with my opinions, THAT'S FINE. I am not so needy as to require validation from a bunch of people on an internet forum who I don't know.

And nope, I am not on a one-person mission to upset the forum, nor am I a troll, I just wanted to express my view. If everyone feels comfortable with James acting as he does when things don't go so well, then that's fine, but I for one do not.

Nor, do you know James Martin; except from what you've seen in some TV footage. To claim that anything we've seen of him that is worrying & that you are expecting to see Camilla with a black eye, implies that James is likely to be violent towards her. Can you substantiate this allegation? No, but I guess that doesn't matter.

So he punches the air, has hit a punch bag? What in god's name has that got to do with anything? Thousands of ordinary people learn karate, judo, etc. but that doesn't imply that they beat their wives/girlfriend/women in general.

All this thread has achieved is to kick off another war between those who support one celebrity & those who don't & why? Because you don't llke the look in someone's eyes? Next thing it'll be that his eyes are too close together or the shape of his nose that's got you worried.

Along with the freedom to express our opinions to the world at large, via the Internet, comes a responsibility to not make statements that can be classified as libellous, defamatory, or which we know to be untrue. The second you press that submit button, whatever you have said enters the public domain &, whether it is true or not, there is always guaranteed to be someone who will believe it to be the absolute truth.

Once one person believes something, it is sure to spread & at the end of the day, someone's whole life, reputation & even their livelihood could be ruined, simply on the basis of a carelessly expressed opinion.

You can't do that to people. It's both irresponsible & inhuman.
