Katie Price is barely any better. Can't really abide her either.

Whilst I agree it would be a challenge I'd hate to see the show reduced to having glamour models on. One of the things I love about it is that it adds a touch of old fashioned class and glamour to a Saturday night. Can't see they feeling remaining if either of those two women were allowed to compete!

Besides, the female professionals are beautiful enough women wearing skimpy enough clothes to satisfy the male's who require that type of thing.

I'd like to see more people like the news readers who are totally out of their area in the dancing. It's always interesting to see how they progress.

Clarissa Dickson-Wright. Now that would sort the men from the boys.

Sarah Cox - you never know what she'd be like!

Or someone like Mylene Klass - who you would expect to be OK but would probably struggle to keep up!

Hoe about Martine McCutcheon? Her career seems to be on the wane, so she could spare the time to train, and could do well, but she is notoriously shy of hard work [after the My Fair Lady saga]. I think they'd match well though........or maybe Martine with Brendan?

I have just thought (after Mikey D mentioning Sarah Cox - my brain works in strange ways) of Sarah Cawood. She used to go to ballet school with my little sister and she was damn good at dancing.

How about Kristin Scott-Thomas
Emma Thompson
Jennifer Saunders
Lucy Davis (Dawn from The Office)

Also liking the idea of Tamsin Greig

Penny Smith from GMTV? (She'd be better than Fiona. ANYONE is bound to be better than Fiona...)
OR
Melanie Sykes?
OR
Madonna?
OR
Carol Thatcher
OR
Dawn French?
Nice bit of variety to choose from....

Or how about Anton with Alison Steadman?

BTW did you all hear that Richard Madeley was asked to do this series, but as he said on Friday's R&J "I can't, cos I'm doing this show."

I think Charlotte Church would be good, with Anton or otherwise

Yay..another fan. Yes..the more I think of Tamsin Greig, the more I think how she would suit him. She looks like she could dress up as if she just walked out of a 1930's drama, and I bet she would be up for a laugh.

I love Tamsin Greig has a potential. But I always imagine her as her Love Soup character... can you imagine all the middle-class angst on ITT? And she's a comedian, so it could be oddly hilarious

People on here have suggested that they would like to see Sarah Parrish, who played Beatrice in the BBC "Much Ado About Nothing" update, appear next year. I think that she would go well with Mr. Du Beke.

On a side note, I would love to see Johnny Vegas do Strictly Come Dancing.

Imagine the interaction with the judges alone ...

I think Sarah Parrish would be too tall for our Anton.. great choice tho - could whack her with Matthew Cutler maybe.

Given that athletes seem to do quite well on the show, what about Sally Gunnell?

People are mentioning youngish comedy lasses, so I just thought i'd through in one my favourites.

How about Jessica Stevenson? I think she's fabulous and just like to see her in things. I loved Spaced and the Royle Family but couldn't face According To Bex so it would be nice to see her on SCD.

Ooh I love her.

Doon has already done celeb fame academy and was hysterially funny and very good.....another one Anton would be good with.
