I'm a bit confused about what is definite and what is just a rumour? Please can sks say what has been announced officially or confirmed from interviews?

No, Claudia said Fiona would be dancing in the final like all the other contestants this year. The xmas special is meant to be a contest between the US and UK celebs - what would be the point of putting Fiona in there!
As far as I was aware a couple of the US celebs are coming over. Brendan Cole is dancing with Rachel Hunter but I don't know if the all will be dancing wth our pros. There were meant to be 4 couples from the UK dancing - the top three from this series and Jill and Darren. Now Jill and Darren can't do it there seems to be at least one open spot.
There will apparently be no public vote as it would be unfair on the US celebs.

So the result rely solely on the judges? Not sure if it's a good idea if the same lot of judges are there.
I no, Arlene! CRAIG, BRUNO and Len. Bruno gets on my nerves but at least we know if brunos voting IAN is sure to get a 10.

Just found this as well the best news I've had all day something to look forward to at Christmas.
What a shame. I was hoping John O'Hurley might have made the show. And no Bill. 
Guess he's resting his foot over the holidays - and deservedly so.
At least we have Karen as compensation! If anyone can help out Evander Holyfield, it's going to be Ms Hardy herself.

I can't imagine a Christmas Special without Anton in it - we need him there in some capacity at least. After all, he is Mr Strictly Come Dancing, as he's said himself
I can't see an xmas special without Anton, he (and Brendan) are part of what makes the show special for their talent and personality - I agree it wouldn't be the same without either of them

My thoughts exactly! There was a rumour that Anton and Lesley would be dancing in the Xmas Special- but it doesn't say so on the BBC SCD website, so I don't know what to think now.
If Claudia, or any of her researchers, are reading this- could they please put us out of our misery and let us know one way or the other.
They can't have a SCD Christmas Special without Anton- it just wouldn't be right.

Where does it say that Jill and Darren can't do it. I thought it said Jill and Darren plus the top 3 finalists from this year plus Brendan and Rachel Hunter and Karen and Evander Holyfield.Have I missed something ?????
it says nothing about Jill and Darren on the BBC website, just that the top three from this series will be there plus Brendan and Rachel Hunter and Karen and Evander Holyfield

The original report said Jill and Darren would be in the show and were invited to do so but an interview with Darren confirmed that Jill's pantomime commitments mean she won't be able to do it.
I do hope these rumours about Anton and Lesley are true - it'd be great to see them again.
