I have a feeling that Graham Norton and RISE will support Alex to win Big Brother. Not too sure about Chris Moyles : BBAled seems to like Alex, yet Chris fancies Kate. I'm just interested in seeing if you guys think these people have influence enough to sway the winner's vote (which could be really close). They have been correct in the past...

I think they'll back Jade, I don't know why I think that but they're already leaning towards her, (don't know about Chris Moyles as I don't listen to him)

i thought graham norton wanted jade to win. not sure if he can stand alex, perhaps i am wrong.
also rise's mark durden smith loves jade and edith is really miffed about the hm's treatment of jade.
can't see chris moyles being swung towards anyone but kate 'cos she is a geezer bird.!!

how can you justify anybody but ALEX to win hes 100% genuine all the time i think the press will get behind alex also

I think Chris Moyles is on holiday at the moment.
I'm not really sure how much the media can sway the vote after all weren't the sun supporting Helen last year? Even if you don't agree with the tabloid press they do get millions of readers yet Brian still got a sizeable more votes than Helen so their support did not make a difference.

Alex to win

just thought, the new issue of Tv times has all the final housemates on the cover...except Alex is stood out from the others. There's another one that's got just him on the front. Looks like the media think Alex will win.

Thanks for the feedback, i didnt realise Jade was going to be backed to that extent - could be interesting to see how well she does, considering that most of the general public dislike her.

Indeed Moyles is away but Emma B who is sitting in for the next couple of weeks is backing Kate (YEAH!)

Norton will go for Jade, RI:SE any of them apart from Jonny and Chris Moyles probably Kate.

None of them will go for Jonny. In fact, I can't see any newspaper or tv programme supporting Jonny (apart from locally) which partly made me start the thread "why do Jonny fans want him to win BB3?" because I just couldn't understand why the pro-Jonny think exists so strongly in forums and okay I admit...I did wonder about the rumours. So far it is rather revealing.

RI:SE will probably back either Jade or Kate, hopefully Kate since Sophie is now on board and dislikes Jade quite a bit.

Moyles will back Kate to win (if he's back in time) but surely that won't make a difference - does anyone listen to that egotistical self-indulgent fool anymore?

eeek, even my re-worded post didn't account for that many listening to him.

As I said though, Chris isn't back until the Monday after the final and the lovely lady Emma B is backing Kate.

Of course they can and they do. Let's not leave the Sun out of this (even though I wish I could).

I am not sure what changed GN's mind about Jade,. though I do suspect it is because C4 pays him, or maybe that is me being cynical! Or maybe because C4 actually thought they had let the 'hate jade' situation go too far.

I did like Emzi's article about the Sun and Jade on this forum, if you haven't read it, quick do it now! The articles in the Guardian that someone posted a link to earlier today were great too.. Sorry I can't remember who posted them.

If the media couldn't sway opinion, no-one would pay to watch, listen or read anything they say.

Mind you - there are a few of us left who make up their own minds. Difficult sometimes when you are unsure if those in the media are presenting actual facts ... or 'facts' as they would like them to be seen.

LK - Is glad we have a media .. but would like a more unbiased lot who didn't present their opinion as a fact!

Do the British public have a mind of their own? Can they vote without having some media and celebrities telling them who to vote for?

Sad to say the answer is 'No'
A lot of them can't make up their own minds but need to be carefully guided in one direction or another.

That's why the power of the media scares me so much and it should never be abused. Doesn't worry me at all where BB3 is concerned, but when it comes to politics that is an entirely different matter.

LK - would say that some of the British public have fresh air where their brains should be, but that wouldn't be very nice and people would accuse me of being like Tim ie arrogant.
(So I didn't say that OK?)

The media is VERY powerful. We sometimes have our opinions influenced without realising it.

Yes, television shows can, and do sway the vote.

I'm pretty sure the media will sway the vote...if they were all backing the same person it would be cut and dried.

The lady on RISE (sorry, don't know her name, I'm not a regular viewer..just tune in for the BB updates and polls ) said she didn't like Kate. Does anyone know who she is supporting?

i think you mean edith on rise. she is supporting jade along with mark durden smith. edith thinks kate and jonny's behaviour towards jade is rank.
most peeps i know also changed their mind after watching kate and jonny degrading jade. they are also finding alex a tad boring..... imagine that?
sorry to rant but getting excited at jade being in the final week , as is graham norton
