Yes...I do agree partly with the OP, but no it wouldn't be a travesty.

I like all the dancers left now...just James, whilst fab at ballroom, isn't so good at latin (whereas Patsy had her moments at both) and the three left are all pretty good at both.

So in fairness, it will be James who should go.

However, he has such a huge fan base....in the bottom twice with the judges but never the viewers, that I think Colin, Zoe or Darren are more likely to go this week than him.

Still, that's what happens in shows like this...variety I guess, is the spice of life.

If he gets into the final!! im boycotting it!!! and will defect to the x factor!!

But if all non-James fans do that, then only the James lovers will be left to vote and he'll win. Bit of a catch 22!

I cant watch another repeat of chris and hanna, and julian and erin!! It was cringeworthy!!!

My own favourites were Patsy and Anton but I don't feel anger at James and Camilla for getting through ... this show for me is light entertainment not a technical dance competition so if the person has made a journey, improved and gives of their best I don't mind who wins.

James is much better at ballroom and has been undermarked for me a few times [particularly by CRH], Darren has had fun, improved, and produced some lovely displays but has been overmarked a few times [IMHO]. Colin is technically great but I don't always warm to his performances but he has worked hard, Zoe has produced some performances which have looked beautiful and because of the flak I've seen here I'm rooting for her, but think they all deserve to be there and personally I'd prefer a show where they all stay till the end and then we vote [but that wouldn't make as much money for CiN].

To call it a 'travesty' is taking the whole show too seriously, Patsy on Saturday with her response to going out shows what many of the celebs are in there for, and I hope CiN is the main winner

james has to go next week. i will certainly be a travesty if he doesn't.

I think this week's bottom 2 showed that Zoe & Ian need a bit of a shake up. There is no doubt she is great and she will probably win but they didn't dance to their best this week and their marks were still good. Its a bit reminiscent of Bill but in the opposite way. He had a real injury, as opposed to flu (which I accept is awful but not as threatening to the dance), and was marked poorly accordingly most of the time. So its only true and fair that other celebrities should be affected in comparison and it doesn't seem to be happening that way.

I adore James (personally and with Camilla, lol!) but I would accept if J&C went out this week. I do agree they need to put in perfect performances to merit a final place. But I also think that even if they did there are some judges, say at least 50% of the panel, who still wouldn't mark them correctly (CRH and AP you know who you are). So please don't call it a travesty if he stays in. He's nowhere near as awful as either Julian Clary or Chris Parker. He can dance, even if he's not as natural at it as Colin and Zoe or as improved as Darren.

What annoys me is the people who simply vote for the lame duck. Last week Bill was improved and Patsy should have gone out. Bill went out. This week Patsy was much improved and James should have gone. Patsy went out. For crying out loud use your brains and pick someone for a proper reason!

I should very much hope that there are better things to label a travesty then a chubby (but gorgeous) chef and his partner getting to the finals of a reality tv show.

Voting so far would strongly point to James being in the final. I'd say he'll probably be there and it will be totally hillarious to watch the madness on here when that happens.

I am addicted to strictly. I adore the show and love the dancers and celebs....but this level of agro over a distinctly mild form of Saturday entertainment is nutty!

What goes around, comes around! perhaps some of us are fed up with high minded people telling us what we should or should not do. Whilst the Lady Boz respects everybody right to an opinion (and will fight for their right too, even if I don't agree) nobody should take it upon their selves to tell others how they want the final to be.

Its is insufferable how much sniping at James Martin there has been, if his fan base is large and they vote for him, stand up and take it on the chin. There aint nothin' you can do about it! "A travesty" ye gods!!

Aha, but it's the people who want entertainment (in the form of great dancing) that don't want James to get it into the final. As I said earlier, I'm not going to throw a hissy fit if James does get through, but I will be disappointed; I think a final with Zoe, Colin, and Darren will be more entertaining from a dancing POV.

Regardless of the celebs going through to the final, I just hope that Lilia manages to to make the final this year .. it would be too cruel for her to go out at this stage again this year after last year (is that mean of me, cos it may mean that someone with a better dance partner than her gets knocked out?)

I'm really sorry to say this, but what a sorry lot some of you are!

Some of the reactions I'm reading about James are just over the top! Ofcourse I respect everybody's opinion, and I'm not saying he deserves to be in the final. Because he doesn't (dance-technically).

But - as a dancer, and yes I am - I know one thing and that is that Patsy CAN'T dance either! Her jive looked like a jumping sack of potatos for instance.

It was either James of Patsy who should have left saturday and it was Patsy. Oh boohoo... Next Saturday it will be James. And I will be sorry, because I personally like him and Camilla a lot. And by the way, I'm not a woman of a 'certain age' whose hormones are playing up or something.

Overreation much??! It wouldn't be that bad if James was int he final!! The day after the final, no one will care anymore. I don't want him in the final, but not because I don't like them. I don't want them to be ripped to pieces by the judges again!

Some of you are objecting to the word "travesty" and of course you are right, it is over the top but I just used it in my title to get the discussion going although I do feel that a euphemism for travesty was needed..........

The reason I think that James should not be in the final is that this year the talent is extremely high and the other 3 couples just simply deserve to be there because they are better dancers .

What is different about the Christoher Parker and Julian Clary scenarios is that we knew that Natasha and Jill were going to win, nobody else could really touch them based on skill and style, so we weren't in a sense too worried about the "popular vote winner" being there until the end. This year there is no clear winner in my mind - Colin, Zoe and Darren could all be in with a chance and this is what makes it so exciting and a little different from previous years. If James were to make it to the final at the expense of one of the other couples then we would be having another re-run Christopher Parker and Julian Clary (although I admit that James is a lot better than them !!)

I'm not trying to dictate to anyone which way they should vote, this isn't what I'm trying to say. I simply feel that the most exciting and unpredictable final could be gained if we let James have his last dance with Camilla next week.
