I think he is genuinely a good guy. I think he is at the moment very frustrated and this is reflected in increasingly intolerant behaviour towards those he wouldn't normally be spending so much time with. This, he admits, is accentuating his worst characteristics and casting him in a bad light.

Can't see how you can count him as vicious. I think, as mentioned elsewhere, Alex is subconciously blaming Jade for Adele's eviction. He recognises that he's picking on her (to use his phrase) at times but wants to stop it.
I think a big problem is that he's now had enough of Big Brother. His big friends will all be gone after Friday and he really doesn't want to stay in the house with the other three, especially when it's obvious they all nominated him.

at least Alex is prepared to ADMIT on camera that he is totally fed up, even of himself and the way the house is making him feel... the house also being the place where Jonny still resides. He was right to nominate Jonny for his puppet act of him, Jonny still festering emotionally about the effect weegate has on his public image, and trying to turn the whole thing around so as to discredit Alex. It is Jonny who will not let it lie. Jonny is the big fake in the house, not Alex - Alex is merely a victim of being in close proximity with a bloke who is simply an acting fraud, and an evil one at that.

sorry about that petergoat! I've gone back and made my point clearer subsequent to your quoting.
The bit you quoted I was drawing the distinction between his (agreed) intolerant behaviour lately due to his quite obvious frustrations and on the outside his probably not being really that wicked a person. The bad light this is showing him up in I have clarified on my original post.

Alex knew full well what he was letting himself in for when he entered the house, he knew it wasn't going to be full of intellectual types so why do people keep making the same excuses for him?
Whenever he has a drink the true 'Alex' seems to come out, as they say the true you comes out when you are intoxicated and he seems happy to join in the fun and games then.
I think Alex's problem is he likes to think of himself as intellectual and above childish behavoir and has dug himself into a hole that he can't dig himself out of without looking contradictive

If you are going on about C4 show tonight, they did not show the full story about hide and seek, Alex was winding Jade up. But thanks to the usual biased editing that was not how it came accross. Still I am guessing this was your point, so don't moan at me if I got it wrong!

If at all can we try and keep the discussion civil. There is no need for some of the comments made about some of the housemates in this thread.
I'm going to leave this thread open for the time being and monitor it, after all we are trying to strike a balance with the threads that are on the forum.
