Is it male jealousy?
I don't know who to set up a poll so I am asking the question are all these anti-Alex threads coming from men. If so,are they perhaps jealous.
Perhaps you anti-Alex posters could let me know (without a load of abuse please). Thank you.

yes im male! it isnt that I dislike alex...well yes i do, I dont really like jonny that much but the slagging off of jonny and the willingness of the same people to forgive alex for his misdemeanours p***s me off. It is the hypocrisy of the alex fans i protest against. Jealous? of what? a morbid, boring 'face'? I think more of myself than that. |

I'm female and I dislike Alex. I don't like him because he is weak and easily led. He is incapable of forming his own opinions and he can be very, very spiteful.
I haven't always disliked Alex - in some ways his ignorance and quirks are endearing - but in the last few weeks he's become unbearable. I don't like Jonny either and am hoping one of the girls wins, hopefully Kate. |

Again am female and don't like Alex. I feel bad saying I don't like him as obviously I don't know him, but there you go.
I really really disliked him from the first couple of days up until week 3, and then after Sandy had gone he was much better, merged with the group (and got drunk) more and was generally more entertaining. I originally thought that him and Adele were sweet as he obviously fancied her (e.g. Davina's fave moment of BB3 'that look') but just like Sandy he became swayed by her bitching and once again I started to dislike him. Then again after Adele left I thought 'right back to likeable Alex' but he's become a miserable sod and I would actually choose to vote him out over Tim this week (never thought I would want Tim to stay this week!) Ah yes.....
All of my 41 years I’ve wanted to be a self important, toilet fixated, whining, irritating, tedious, up himself little man. Perhaps I have from time to time achieved one or two of these goals but after seeing the master in action I’ve had to throw in the towel.

Doodad, thats exactly what I mean you have had to resort to abuse and even if Alex were all these things you have just said don't you think its fascinating that so many people still find him fanciable.
Please don't throw in the towel it sounds as if you must have nearly have reached you goal!

The one thing that put me off Alex is the 'I made a mistake' about his sexuality on the application form.
How can you make a mistake like that ?! Either your Hetro, Bi or Gay ! ![]() People makes mistakes granted, but not to the extent of mistakenly or wrongly writing down their sexuality. I couldn't care less which ever way he is, the fact is, he's lied. He either lied by wrongly filling out the form to appear Bi or lied by informing others of his 'mistake' which would make him appear Hetro. Jealous of a liar ? I think not ! |

I'm female and I don't like what I've seen of Alex on TV - maybe he behaves differently in the real world, I'd hope so anyway.
To me, he seems fake, acts like a prima donna and I just don't understand why he ever went on BB in the first instance - or Tim, for that matter. They are so 'precious'. However, I hope Richard and Judy where listening when Alex said he'd like to be on their show, I think it's the least they could do for the poor delusional chap! |

Mel, it is only a question, not a theory and I am genuinely interested to know. There will always be exceptions to any rule anyway so it is not a problem if you think Alex is repulsive - you are obviously entitled to your opinion - the same as I am to mine.
Out of interest, who do you fancy? (If that not too nosey!).

Fruitbat.....
If that was abuse to you......you should get out more! All I know is my dear wife......who I adore.....finds Alex repulsive. So what prey do I have to be jealous of?

I don't know if I'm anti-Alex or just don't-like-Alex but I do know I just can't stand his whinging and whining.
I'm female so I don't think it's male jealousy |

"Shatmaself", don't you think its a bit harsh to decide someone is a liar because they made a mistake. In all probability it was a box that needed ticking and he ticked the wrong one. Surely we all make mistakes, stupid or otherwise, without other people deciding we are lying for it.

I have a little soft spot for Alex (tho he is by no means my fave) - I find him articulate and quite intellectual. His up-bringing and lifestyle has been varied and anecdotally I have have found him quite interesting.
I'm not jealous of him, although I appreciate he has experienced quite a bit for his age (whether you'd all agree whether this constitutes the 'real' world is another matter). |

It was on a news site weeks ago & Alex was heard by millions of people on E4 admitting what he wrote. Does that sound like a mistake ? If he was being honest on the form, why has he told the housemates otherwise ? One way or another, he's lied ..... simple ! |

Originally posted by Double Jade IS honest. She was used and manipulated by Adele and Alex. Funny how she is now getting on with Kate and Jonny and viewers (myself included) are warming to her. Distancing herself from Alex and Adele was the best thing that could have happened for Jade. She may have a big mouth, be noisy, bitchy (when spurred on by Adele and Alex) but she is genuine and really quite funny.
Ah, but she liked Jade for her honesty...so not really watching much of the show, is she?. |

Sorry, "Shatmaself", if that is the case - it does appear very strange. I wonder if we can get Davina to ask him about this when he comes out.

Magsiesss, sorry if I appeared not to want female input. Not the case at all. I am genuinely interested in all opinions because as Doodad pointed out I do need to get out more but until then I have to make do with the forum.

Fruitbat, why aren't you asking me to explain my post? I feel unloved and ignored
![]() If it makes it easier for you to find something to pick apart I also think one of the reasons I dislike Alex is that he stayed in at the expense of my favourite, Spencer. Spencer's nominations are part of the reason I dislike Jonny too. And Adele. And Jade, to a certain extent. |
