Erin has turned Sour

Has anyone else noticed how nasty Erin has become? First she made the comments about Zoe and Patsy being overmarked and then she could be heard sniping at Darren Gough on Saturday night...

I guess Erin is open and likes to put her points and views across...

Welcome to the forums.

I think you have to keep editing in mind in these situations.

Erin always comes over as a nice enough girl and we all know the power of editing.

I think on this series the editing is deliberately con troversial. BUt her comments were honest and a lot of people were thinking it. She is naturally competitive and if she feels it's an unfair contest well done to her for risking her popularity to state it.

Erin's fabulous!!! I love this competative side to her! We didn't really see it last year with Julian but think back to the first series and she was exactly the same!! Remember her barney with Brendan over the V Waltz?!!!!

As a journalist, I am very aware of how much editing happens. But I was taught if can't say anything nice then not to say anything at all. It is for charity after all and the couples should be supporting one another and not criticising each other - that is the job of the judges!

i *personally* just think that Erin is just speaking her mind
she isnt being nasty just competitive
i think people should stop concentrating on what erin is saying and concentrate on the dancing and everything else

What was it she said about Darren? I can't remember.

I certainly think she was out of order the week before, but there certainly seemed to be some play bitchiness going on on Saturday - the Colin/Ian/Erin scratchmarks thing.

I like Erin and think she's absolutely gorgeous.

I think for the professionals it is more than just fun. They are also being judged and teaching dance is their career and dancing is their life. That's why dancers like Erin, Brendan, Anton and Ian are shown to take it very seriously

Maybe 'nasty' was the wrong word. 'unsporting' was what i meant.

i mean Erin said that she would love to beat Ian because he beat her last year! i think that's great! brilliant idea of the competition!!!!!! why not - it's all just friendly banter!!!!!!

and i would agee with you libby - its all playful stuff!loving it!

Just a general comment here, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is a lot of sniping and bitchiness in ballroom dancing generally, regardless of gender. When you think you have people who are as competitive as sportsmen and creative like actors, it's a pretty strong cocktail!

I'm sure there's plenty of camaraderie too, but I bet it's not all rainbows and roses.

I for one love Paul to bits - he and Hanna were just dancing perfection! Love Hanna even more though!

I agree with you there. There is a lot of sniping etc in most artistic and sporting things! It starts early on in dancing though with the parents being pushy and bitchy. No wonder their kids grow up to be the same!

Ok, I thnk everyone knows about the first comments but what the hell did she say about Darren Gough?

I cannot remember for the life of me and wish the starter of the thread could back this up. I just really don't remember seeing it.

I believe lots of viewers are grateful to Erin for speaking their mind. I believe she won lots of vote because of that, the editing don't seems to get what they want
