ITT is on around the time I have tea so I came into series 2 about halfway through. I watched it for something to watch, but somehow I got drawn in, first by Claudia and then by Aled

I've been watching this particular series from the start.

I started watching a little bit into the 1st series. I loved watching the dancing but it was how enthusiastic people like Lesley were about the competition and how great dancing is that got me hooked. Then ITT got me even more obsessed when we able to get to know more about the dancers, the dances and how the celeb dancers are coping. As well as getting to see the wonderful dances it lets you get a little bit more invovled in it.

It is so rare to have had dance progs on telly that when see something advertised make a point of watching it - have been watching since first series and used to watch 'the hairy guy' do the prog on bbc 3 during the week.
Did also like to watch come dancing when it used to be on.

Just a note have mentioned it on other threads beeb has some dare I say 'ballet' on over the hols - if you've not watched any before give it a go at least you can go and make a cup of tea and go to the loo if it gets too much and it really is worth it for some of the fantastic music!

I didn't catch the first series; work commitments got in the way, but I was fascinated by watching people developing new talents fro the start of Series 2.

I only really started watching ITT when there was nothing on & I was stuck in a hotel, waiting to go & get something to eat.

Can't get enough of it now, though.

IT contractor so I live in hotels/B&B's most of the time. I tend to go out to eat, but where I was at the time, none of the local restaurants opened before 19:00, so I used to trawl through the channels looking for something interesting to watch, whilst I killed 1/2 hour & came across ITT.

I started to watch SCD because I already danced before it started and I thought it would be interesting to see the celebrities trying it out and I wanted to see how much of the steps I could recognise. Then I saw Hanna and realised how much dancing really does mean to me!

What got me into SCD?

Two people- Anton and Lesley.

If it hadn't been for them I don't think I'd be as addicted as I am now! I just loved them. They were so good together.

Those of you who didn't see the first series really missed out. It was the best by far. I think it was because it was a new concept and all the celebrities were in it together. It really did feel like they were one big happy family. The aftershows with JLC helped matters there- as we got to see everyone together after the live shows and see how they interacted with each other. We don't get that so much this series or last.

Glen was just teasing!
well at least all those hours in hotel rooms has given you a new hobby! so when are going to take to the floor and try out all the moves you must have picked up from watching hours on hours of SCD and ITT?!

Actually it was the audience... I know people connected with the show, who are sometimes in the audience, so I started watching the first series to see if I could spot them. (Is this REALLY sad???) To be honest, for the first two series I spent more time watching the audience than the dancing.... probably until Brendan's famous paso last series.... this time I find I'm actually watching and taking notice - and even noticed the dance moves properly in Guys and Dolls (Ewan McGregor can really move!!) and other musicals. I'm also hooked on ITT - without an audience!!

Started watching at the end of series 1. Thought it would be tacky, just nother celeb showing off show. Was instantly hooked. The strange thing is the people I know who do watch are total addicts. Do you think there's something being transmitted to make us all addicted?I've never known this with another TV programme

I have been described as having all the rhythm & coordination of a drunken elephant on rollerskates, attempting to move across an icy pond, whilst juggling chainsaws, so I don't think I'll be attempting to undo all the good SCD has done for dancing, in the near future.

Completely missed S1...but I think it was on in May or something wasn't it? I don't tend to watch telly other than in the depths of winter.

Can't remember how I came to be watching S2. My mother was probably watching it and I couldn't be bothered to go and do something else! But I was hooked from the moment I saw it.

What I loved most first of all were the fabulous costumes. I've always loved dressing up, and seeing the outfits the dancers wore was amazing. Also probably fell in love with Jill halfpenny and her fabulousness!

Whatever got me there, I was hooked from the start.

I agree with Patsy's comments. There should be more of this sort of family programming on the TV, especially Saturday evening shows. Long live SCD and ITT!!”

I used to love Come Dancing and way back when did ballet and modern so it was a must see. Well you're not the only Julian Clary groupie here gilly. I've liked him from when he first did that Friday night programme with Fanny The Wonderdog. Met him a few times and he's a real sweetie. and then like you I spotted Anton and have developed even more of an addiction and it's nice finally finding a forum of like minded people as no other one I post on has post on seems to like it and like you I definitely agree with Patsy we need more stuff like this

I have watches from series 1, partly cos I wanted to see HOW you can get utter hoofing no hoping celebs to perform something that I have all ways considered a very under appreciated artform.

Many many people can ballroom dance but very few can ever hope to do a half decent spectacle out of it. Hence the fact every year there have been some celebs that make an embarrassment out of their attempts.

I've been dancing Modern Jive for a number of years, and as a result have tried many other loosely related dances (Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing etc).

A shade under two years ago, I went on a Jive 'n' Cruise holiday in the Caribbean - I took someone with me, who I'd only know for a few weeks!.

Anyhow, we hit it off big time on the dance floor, and the slower smoother tracks like "Come fly with me" seemed to really suit us. Our dancing enthusiasm just exploded!

Shortly after that holiday, I caught the trailer for Series 1 on BBC1, and it immediately felt like I'd been transported back to that magical ship in the Caribbean...I was hooked from that moment on!.

Over the three series of SCD, and the one of SDF, I've only missed one single episode of ITT, and last Saturday's results.

My very small claim to fame, is that Claire from SDF was my partner in a dance comp just a couple of weeks before she appeared on the show

Just love dance and to dance - ballroom and Latin, always have, always will.

From starting as a social dancer, progressing to be a competitor, back to social dance.

Attend social dances 2/3 times a week.

Have made friends with all sorts from Builders to Doctors through both competing and social dancing.

Get out there and join a class.

I remember flicking onto BBC1 because I was interested in the programme. Once the first couple came out and danced, I was hooked!

I wasnt sure I would enjoy Strictly Dance Fever, and although it isnt as good as SCD IMO, it is still a great show.

Hello Soupdragon.
I wish I'd read this sooner! How nice to find a like-minded soul! I've also met him a few times and he's lovely. His parents live quite near to me and used to look after Fanny when she had retired.

I'm sorry Anton is out, and also sorry that the final is next week and not next year! What will I do on Saturday nights?
