I was looking for a Christmas present for my Dad and stumbled across the Sony ICFM410L Radio on a website. I've done an exhaustive search of the web, but can find very few details about it.

Now, I know nothing about radios so you''ll have to excuse my ignorance. The description says it has 'digital tuning'. Does this mean "crystal clear sound", or is it just a more high-tec way of tuning into analogue broadcasts. You see, I notice that it's not called a 'DAB radio'.

Any help appreciated. As you can see, I'm a mite confused.

"Digital tuning" is not DAB radio.

Modern, "FM" radio's have had "digital tuning" for some years - you can type in the fm requency number direct rather than rotate a dial. A digital tuner for FM displays the frequency like "102.5 fm". Makes no difference to the quality of the fm signal.

If if doesnt say DAB, then its not got DAB.
