Widescreen TV's
Hey, I am looking to buy a widescreen tv but am not too sure what im lookin for. Ive got around £250 to spend and im looking for something around about 28" with a minimum of 2 SCART sockets and is flat screen (CRT).
I have seen a SONY WEGA for sale at Argos for £230 but it doesnt come with a stand (which I will need). Anyone have any recomendations/suggestions? Thanks for your help |

Have a look at the Toshiba 28Z47B, Bought mine in Currys for £295 but now going for £249 !!
Great picture quality, reasonable geometry, versatile sound options,2 scarts 1 RGB,stand included, speakers under the screen so not as wide as most sets, overall very pleased with mine. |

Thanks for your help They also sell it with the stand for about £280 if it helps. The Sony would always get my money for CRT televisions, they generally have an edge on picture quality. That said, Toshiba sets are very good too. |

Of the "old" crt technology, I think the Sony's are the best overall. "Wega" models being the last (and best) of that type.
