i just wondered if anyone has done this and if it works out ok?

I am constantly getting patchy EPG on my machine, so im thinking about doing this, but i know nothing about it nor how to set it up.

Have you tried asking over at www.toppy.org.uk ? There are various posts over there on using digiguide with the toppy.
